"A DECEIT TO DIE FOR" BY TIM WARNER
I would like to call my readers attention to a man named Luke Montgomery. Montgomery lived in the Middle East for over a decade, holds an MA in Linguistics, speaks fluent Turkish and writes on foreign policy, religion and culture. Montgomery is one of those rare commentators out there who truly “gets it” concerning the importance of the nation Turkey in the present unfolding of global events.

Egypt: Muslim Brotherhood To Pursue ‘Tight’ Relationship With Hezbollah Terror Organization

The Jerusalem Post – “In a dramatic policy shift, Egypt will seek to forge ‘tight’ relations with Hezbollah, Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon Ashraf Hamdy revealed in a candid interview published on Saturday in the Beirut-based Daily Star.‘You cannot discuss politics in Lebanon without having a relationship with Hezbollah,’ Hamdy was quoting as saying, before describing the terrorist group as a ‘real force on the ground’ with ‘big political and military influence.’
Hamdy announced that Muslim-Brotherhood- dominated Egypt would begin ‘stretching [its] hand out in the proper, balanced way to all regional powers,’ including Hezbollah, to forge ‘tight’ contacts with Lebanon’s rulers.
Egypt-Hezbollah relations, generally strained under president Hosni Mubarak, in large part due to Egypt’s peace treaty with Israel, reached rock bottom in 2008 during Israel’s Cast Lead military operation.
At that time, Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah called on Egypt, to no avail, to intervene militarily on behalf of Gaza-based Palestinians.
For its part, Egypt in the past has accused Hezbollah of operating terrorist cells in the country.
In his interview, Hamdy denied reports that Hezbollah had sent a delegation to Egypt to meet with officials from President Mohamed Morsi’s administration, but confirmed that he personally had met with members of Hezbollah’s political bureau in efforts ‘to understand each other better.’
‘In discussions we said we want Hezbollah to remain as a political force in Lebanon,’ Hamdy said.
‘Resistance in the sense of defending Lebanese territory… [is] their primary role. We… think that as a resistance movement they have done a good job to keep on defending Lebanese territory, and trying to regain land occupied by Israel is legal and legitimate,’ he continued.
Hamdy concluded by saying that while domestic concerns had slowed Egypt from undertaking new, ambitious foreign policy objectives, the country ultimately sees itself playing an instrumental role in the region.
‘Egypt’s soft power is its strength,’ he said. ‘To expect 180-degree shifts in strong positions take some time…. Egypt will reveal itself as a real regional power and a ‘doer’ on the regional scene, and we are keen to show that.’” Source – The Jerusalem Post.

Herald Sun – “SUSPECTED radical Islamist gunmen have attacked a village in northeast Nigeria, tying up men, women and children before slitting their throats and killing at least 15 in the troubled region’s latest attack.The assault happened early on Friday morning in the village of Musari on the outskirts of Maiduguri.
The gunmen, suspected of being members of Boko Haram, shouted religious slogans and later ordered people to gather up into a group, said Mshelia Inusa, a primary school teacher in the village.
Chants of ‘God is great, God is great’ followed, he said.
Later, Mr Inusa and others saw corpses with their hands tied behind their backs and their throats cut.
Later Friday morning, an ambulance arrived at the State Specialists Hospital in Maiduguri, accompanied by a group of military vehicles, a security guard said. Agitated soldiers ordered people away, but the guard said he counted at least 15 bodies being brought into the facility’s morgue.
A military spokesman later issued a statement saying only five people had been killed in the village during the attack. However, military and police officials routinely downplay casualty figures because they are under increasing pressure from their superiors to minimise the perceived effects of the ongoing attacks by Boko Haram.
Boko Haram could not be immediately reached for comment.

2012 Thoughts and Omens
This past year of 2012 has been a strange and troublesome one for many.
Even the usual merriment scheduled for the Christmas season was blighted by grief (Sandy Hook) and disaster (repeated flooding and gales in Europe and tornadoes and snow in the States ).
Not many months before, there was another “sandy” tragedy when that Hurricane devastated portions of the Caribbean and the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States during late October 2012.
Add to that the unusual weather all year – droughts, then floods – plus failing crops, continuing violence in the Middle East including the death of four Americans in Benghazi, and this year’s spike in annual epidemics…
Cruise Ships Hit by Norovirus
The usual relaxation and enjoyment of a winter cruise was blighted for many by a worse than usual outbreak of the Norovirus. Norovirus outbreaks struck a number of luxury cruise ships, including the famous Queen Mary 2. More than 400 passengers on board P&O’s Oriana cruise ship were struck down by the bug. On the Emerald Princess, 166 passengers and 30 crew have fallen ill. The Emerald Princess is currently docked in Florida, while the Queen Mary 2 is in St. Lucia, in the middle of a 12-day round-trip Caribbean jaunt out of New York.
The Norovirus has caused the closure of some hospitals to all visitors, and the numbers affected have risen dramatically. (http://www.bioquell.com/news/norovirus-outbreak-worse-than-first-anticipated/) In November 2012 the Health Protection Agency warned of a possible epidemic, and has now claimed that cases of the winter vomiting bug are up 40 per cent compared to this time last year. Since that warning there have been 38 more outbreaks in hospitals.
Nonetheless, speaking personally, I spent this year in a strange disquiet that seemed to distance me from normality.
It caused me to see the world’s frantic fun and enjoyment as if it were a thinly-veiled pantomime show. A reality that wasn’t quite real enough! My own perception of the world became too obvious and bright for me to ignore.
Jesus had observed that, just before his return to this earth, the conditions prevailing would be similar to those in the days of Noah just before the Flood, or of Lot’s city Sodom just before it was destroyed by fire. Jesus implied that people would be eating and drinking, partying, clubbing, making relationships, getting married and getting on with “normal life” right up to the very last day, unaware of what was about to happen.
That in part is what I felt this Christmas, and even more so as we head into a new year. Normality isn’t normal for me any more!
On the first few days, the feeling of liberty is delicious, and every outing to the beach, the local cafe, the tourist spots, feels stress-free, set apart from the normal demands of life.
Then comes that day before the last day, the day before the train or plane home. Even though you go out, visit the beach, go shopping along the beachfront, visit a museum, go down the pier, and half your mind is still in holiday mode, the other half is occupied with thinking “we have to re-pack the cases, and we’ll need to check out tomorrow by Noon, and have we bought a present for Mary and Bill yet? I need to get the timetable out – where did I put it? What time does the bus to the Station leave?”
Despite it still being a holiday, that practical side of your brain is reasserting itself, and even though you are trying to join in with the newcomers in their carefree spirit, you cannot. You have lost the mood, somehow. The day is tinged with disappointment, sadness, the need to begin preparations. And anxiety perhaps, about going back to work.
Expectation
Well, life isn’t a holiday but that was a description of the feeling I had this year. The sense of expectation is growing, not only of evil growing day by day (such evil!!) but the need to make distinct preparations spiritually, for “going home”. All of that rises above the thoughtless and trivial merriment of Christmas revelry.
The path God led me on this year (in his desire to re-educate me) was one of worry and hardship, and I was also sobered by hearing about one unexpected death in the family – a tragic loss of a wasted life – and severe illness among some friends.
It made this passage more meaningful to me:
We were told over and over, this year, that it was a “magical” time, and we had to “believe in the spirit of Christmas” . THAT would overcome even the darkest circumstances.
Well guess what? If you believe in the empty lies of the devil, then all you will experience is emptiness. Magic is a supernatural force that people want to believe in because they refuse to trust in God’s power!
In a recent poll, nearly five percent of children and adults thought Santa visited the baby Jesus in the manger, or was one of the Shepherds!
In every movie we see children “praying” to their magical god Santa, only wishing to GET something out of him. Santa’s pixie dust could put everything right – no more environmental damage, no more sadness and loss, no more poverty, no more cruelty and abuse – THAT is the message of the magical Christmas.
But it stands in stark contrast to the words of God, who said:
But in addition, in 2013-2014 we will see the arrival of perhaps the brightest comet ever seen.
Comet ISON is expected to be “spectacularly bright” so that it is visible in the daytime, and could be brighter than the full moon. It will be seen from Nov/Dec 2013 and also Spring 2014. As it moves away from the sun it will have a visible tail.
The comet will come to perihelion (closest approach to the Sun) on 28 November 2013 at a distance of 0.012 AU (1,800,000 km; 1,100,000 mi) from the centre point of the Sun. Its orbit is nearly parabolic, which suggests that it may be a NEW comet coming fresh from the Oort cloud.
On closest approach, the comet will pass about 6,700,000 mi from Mars on 1 October 2013, and it will pass about 0.42 AU (39,000,000 mi) from Earth on 26 December 2013. Some of the orbital elements of comet ISON are similar to that of the Great Comet of 1680 which suggests the two comets may have fragmented from the same parent body.
The “wise men” of the East were capable not only of anticipating and recording the star that appeared to them, but also of interpreting its meaning: that a notable Hebrew King would be born! If Herod had not believed in this sign, he would not have murdered all the young male children as a result.
A comet seems to appear just before some major war or victory. Around the time of the destruction and re-dedication of the Jewish Temple in 164BC there was a notable comet seen in the sky. This happened again in 66AD leading up to the destruction of Jerusalem’s temple. The historian Josephus commented that it was, “stretched out over Jerusalem like a sword.”
In the significant year 1066, William the Conqueror used Halley’s comet as his omen for victory over Harold II of England. The 1066 comet was very bright, had a short tail, and its shape was depicted on the Tapestry of Bayeaux.
Once again, just before the First World War, and on the eve of Israel’s 1967 war there was a brilliant appearance in the sky:
GREAT JANUARY COMET OF 1910: The first people to see this comet – then already of first magnitude – were workmen at the Transvaal Premier Diamond Mine in South Africa on Jan. 13. Two days later, three men at a railway station in nearby Kopjes casually watched the object for 20-minutes before sunrise, assuming that it was Halley’s Comet. Later that morning, the editor of the local (Johannesburg) newspaper telephoned the Transvaal Observatory for a comment. The observatory’s Director, Robert Innes, must have initially thought this sighting was a mistake, since Halley’s Comet was not in that part of the sky and nowhere near as conspicuous. Innes looked for the comet the following morning, but clouds thwarted his view. But on the morning of the 17th, he and an assistant saw the comet, shining sedately on the horizon just above where the Sun was about to rise. Later, at midday, Innes viewed it as a snowy-white object, brighter than Venus, several degrees from the Sun. It became a stupendous object in the evening sky for the rest of January for the Northern Hemisphere.
COMET IKEYA-SEKI, 1965: This was the brightest comet of the 20th century! On Oct. 21 it swept to within 744,000 miles of the centre of the Sun. The comet was then visible as a brilliant object within a degree or two of the Sun, and wherever the sky was clear, the comet could be seen by observers merely by blocking out the Sun with their hands. From Japan, the homeland of the observers who discovered it, Ikeya-Seki was described as appearing “ten times brighter than the Full Moon” corresponding to a magnitude of -15. Also at that time, the nucleus was observed to break into two or three pieces. Thereafter, the comet moved away in full retreat from the Sun, the head fading very rapidly but its slender, twisted tail, reaching out into space for up to 75 million miles, and dominating the eastern morning sky right on through the month of November.
On this page (http://www.icq.eps.harvard.edu/brightest.html) you can see a list of the brightest comets in the latter part of the 20th century and you’ll notice that at the top of the list is the one I have just mentioned, heralding the victory of 1967 when Israel, in the space of only six days won a decisive land war, taking the Gaza Strip and the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt, the West Bank and East Jerusalem from Jordan, and the Golan Heights from Syria.
But not far below that entry are two further comets occurring in 1947 and 1948, Israel’s foundational years!
Can we then ignore the appearance of a “spectacular” comet in 2013/2014? Does it speak of a war? A destruction? A change of direction for the world?
This coincides with the opening of the first seal to loose the Spirit of Apostasy and False Christ. On that date, and every 7 years thereafter, there has been a spectacular event in the skies:
1994 Jan 18th – A fireball streaks across the sky and crashes to earth with a mighty explosion! This was the “The Cando Event”, a possible meteor impact in Cando, Spain. Witnesses claim to have seen a fireball in the sky lasting for almost one minute. Local residents claim it was a meteor, as an object “the size of a full moon” was seen in the skies of the Spanish region of Galicia.
Two days later, Randy Clark introduced what became known as the “Toronto Blessing” at the then Toronto Airport Vineyard church.
Randy Clark of St. Louis, Missouri had been influenced by the ministry of Rodney Howard-Browne, the earliest known proponent of the “holy laughter” revival phenomenon. Clark preached at the Airport church for two months starting January 20 and “the fire fell”. It was announced that “the spirit has fallen” and the promised “revival” had begun. Thus this present apostasy was launched as thousands opened their minds and bodies to receive a spirit that was not of God. (source)
Mythologically, it is Jupiter who fits the description of the False Messiah and astronomically Jupiter is the “king-planet”. So it is Jupiter who next provides the sign in the skies.
Most astronomers consider the fiery, dramatic collision of comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 with the planet Jupiter in July, 1994, to be the Astronomical Event of the Century! This was a one-off, as befitting the opening of the First Seal of Revelation.
The impact from the collision of just one of a score of cometary fragments with the giant planet had energy estimated at six hundred times that of the combined nuclear arsenals of Russia and the United States. This event has been estimated to happen only once in millions of years in the solar system.
Then a few days later (23 July 2001) we had “The Great Daylight Fireball” which flew over Pennsylvania causing an atmospheric explosion that broke windows. Followed on 17 August 2001, by the brightest fireball over Colorado in recorded history, which fell nearly vertically over the San Luis Valley at 10:44 PM.
As we all know, in September 2001 a different kind of fireball devastated the Twin Towers and launched this era of violence, the second seal that loosed a spirit of violence upon earth, which will only escalate until the coming of Jesus Christ.
On March 19, 2008 the BRIGHTEST EVENT EVER RECORDED BY MAN occurred.
This event, called GRB 080319B could be seen with the naked eye! A powerful gamma ray burst detected March 19th by NASA’s Swift satellite has shattered the record for the most distant object that could be seen with the naked eye.
“It was a whopper,” says Swift principal investigator Neil Gehrels of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. “This blows away every gamma ray burst we’ve seen so far.”
Swift’s Burst Alert Telescope picked up the burst at 2:12 a.m. EDT on March 19, 2008, and pinpointed the coordinates in the constellation Bootes. Telescopes in space and on the ground quickly moved to observe the afterglow. The burst was named GRB 080319B and registered between 5 and 6 on the visual magnitude scale used by astronomers. (A magnitude 6 star is the dimmest visible to the human eye; magnitude 5 is almost three times brighter.)
“No other known object or type of explosion could be seen by the naked eye at such an immense distance,” says Swift science team member Stephen Holland of Goddard. “If someone just happened to be looking at the right place at the right time, they saw the most distant object ever seen by human eyes without optical aid.”
GRB 080319B’s afterglow was 2.5 million times more luminous than the most luminous supernova ever recorded, making it the most intrinsically bright object ever observed by humans in the universe. The most distant previous object that could have been seen by the naked eye is the nearby galaxy M33, a relatively short 2.9 million light-years from Earth.
Accordingly, exactly seven years after 2001, in 2008, the opening of third seal loosed “The Great Recession” a marked global economic decline that began in December 2007 and took a particularly sharp downward turn in September 2008. The global recession affected the entire world economy, with higher detriment in some countries than others. It is a major global recession characterized by various systemic imbalances and was sparked by the outbreak of the Financial crisis of 2007-2008.
If the sequence of events remains the same as for the first three seal judgements, 2015 will give permission to Death and Hades to wreak havoc across the world in various ways (including the sword, hunger and beasts according to Revelation 6:8)
Of course, the times and seasons are in God’s hands, and if He wills, events may slow down or speed up. Nonetheless, the trend towards a separation between believers and the world will continue, and the sense of disconnection will grow. There may perhaps be very trying times ahead, but:

For anyone unaffected by these events, I apologise for raining on your parade. I suppose for many the Christmas festivities continued just as usual, and there must be many devoted Christians asking what all the doom and gloom is about.Nonetheless, speaking personally, I spent this year in a strange disquiet that seemed to distance me from normality.

Significant Signs
The coming of Jesus was heralded by a star, and He told us that his second coming would also be attended by signs in the sun, moon and stars. (Luke 21:25) Some have previously reported on the line-up of eclipses that will take place on Jewish feast-days in 2014-2016. These cannot be coincidental.But in addition, in 2013-2014 we will see the arrival of perhaps the brightest comet ever seen.

The comet will come to perihelion (closest approach to the Sun) on 28 November 2013 at a distance of 0.012 AU (1,800,000 km; 1,100,000 mi) from the centre point of the Sun. Its orbit is nearly parabolic, which suggests that it may be a NEW comet coming fresh from the Oort cloud.
On closest approach, the comet will pass about 6,700,000 mi from Mars on 1 October 2013, and it will pass about 0.42 AU (39,000,000 mi) from Earth on 26 December 2013. Some of the orbital elements of comet ISON are similar to that of the Great Comet of 1680 which suggests the two comets may have fragmented from the same parent body.
Previous Comets
People today tend to view comets, eclipses and astronomical events as being without any significance, but in earlier times and in the bible, they were taken seriously as signs from God, or prophecies.The “wise men” of the East were capable not only of anticipating and recording the star that appeared to them, but also of interpreting its meaning: that a notable Hebrew King would be born! If Herod had not believed in this sign, he would not have murdered all the young male children as a result.
A comet seems to appear just before some major war or victory. Around the time of the destruction and re-dedication of the Jewish Temple in 164BC there was a notable comet seen in the sky. This happened again in 66AD leading up to the destruction of Jerusalem’s temple. The historian Josephus commented that it was, “stretched out over Jerusalem like a sword.”
In the significant year 1066, William the Conqueror used Halley’s comet as his omen for victory over Harold II of England. The 1066 comet was very bright, had a short tail, and its shape was depicted on the Tapestry of Bayeaux.
Once again, just before the First World War, and on the eve of Israel’s 1967 war there was a brilliant appearance in the sky:
GREAT JANUARY COMET OF 1910: The first people to see this comet – then already of first magnitude – were workmen at the Transvaal Premier Diamond Mine in South Africa on Jan. 13. Two days later, three men at a railway station in nearby Kopjes casually watched the object for 20-minutes before sunrise, assuming that it was Halley’s Comet. Later that morning, the editor of the local (Johannesburg) newspaper telephoned the Transvaal Observatory for a comment. The observatory’s Director, Robert Innes, must have initially thought this sighting was a mistake, since Halley’s Comet was not in that part of the sky and nowhere near as conspicuous. Innes looked for the comet the following morning, but clouds thwarted his view. But on the morning of the 17th, he and an assistant saw the comet, shining sedately on the horizon just above where the Sun was about to rise. Later, at midday, Innes viewed it as a snowy-white object, brighter than Venus, several degrees from the Sun. It became a stupendous object in the evening sky for the rest of January for the Northern Hemisphere.
COMET IKEYA-SEKI, 1965: This was the brightest comet of the 20th century! On Oct. 21 it swept to within 744,000 miles of the centre of the Sun. The comet was then visible as a brilliant object within a degree or two of the Sun, and wherever the sky was clear, the comet could be seen by observers merely by blocking out the Sun with their hands. From Japan, the homeland of the observers who discovered it, Ikeya-Seki was described as appearing “ten times brighter than the Full Moon” corresponding to a magnitude of -15. Also at that time, the nucleus was observed to break into two or three pieces. Thereafter, the comet moved away in full retreat from the Sun, the head fading very rapidly but its slender, twisted tail, reaching out into space for up to 75 million miles, and dominating the eastern morning sky right on through the month of November.
On this page (http://www.icq.eps.harvard.edu/brightest.html) you can see a list of the brightest comets in the latter part of the 20th century and you’ll notice that at the top of the list is the one I have just mentioned, heralding the victory of 1967 when Israel, in the space of only six days won a decisive land war, taking the Gaza Strip and the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt, the West Bank and East Jerusalem from Jordan, and the Golan Heights from Syria.
But not far below that entry are two further comets occurring in 1947 and 1948, Israel’s foundational years!
Can we then ignore the appearance of a “spectacular” comet in 2013/2014? Does it speak of a war? A destruction? A change of direction for the world?
Seals and Signs
I must add to this my personal studies, with which some of you may be familiar from my website Birthpangs. Recently I have been looking at the various possibilities for the birth of Jesus, discounting the years 1BC/1AD which are impossible. I don’t want to start a debate about it, but merely to refer to it for another reason: that if Jesus were conceived in the year 7 BC and born in BC 6, then his 2000th ‘birthday’ would have been in 1993/1994.This coincides with the opening of the first seal to loose the Spirit of Apostasy and False Christ. On that date, and every 7 years thereafter, there has been a spectacular event in the skies:
1994 Jan 18th – A fireball streaks across the sky and crashes to earth with a mighty explosion! This was the “The Cando Event”, a possible meteor impact in Cando, Spain. Witnesses claim to have seen a fireball in the sky lasting for almost one minute. Local residents claim it was a meteor, as an object “the size of a full moon” was seen in the skies of the Spanish region of Galicia.Two days later, Randy Clark introduced what became known as the “Toronto Blessing” at the then Toronto Airport Vineyard church.
Randy Clark of St. Louis, Missouri had been influenced by the ministry of Rodney Howard-Browne, the earliest known proponent of the “holy laughter” revival phenomenon. Clark preached at the Airport church for two months starting January 20 and “the fire fell”. It was announced that “the spirit has fallen” and the promised “revival” had begun. Thus this present apostasy was launched as thousands opened their minds and bodies to receive a spirit that was not of God. (source)
Mythologically, it is Jupiter who fits the description of the False Messiah and astronomically Jupiter is the “king-planet”. So it is Jupiter who next provides the sign in the skies.Most astronomers consider the fiery, dramatic collision of comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 with the planet Jupiter in July, 1994, to be the Astronomical Event of the Century! This was a one-off, as befitting the opening of the First Seal of Revelation.
The impact from the collision of just one of a score of cometary fragments with the giant planet had energy estimated at six hundred times that of the combined nuclear arsenals of Russia and the United States. This event has been estimated to happen only once in millions of years in the solar system.
War Planet
2001 A massive storm on Mars, the Red Planet associated with bloodshed and war, erupted in the summer of 2001. On June 27th, the growing storm exploded and by July had enveloped the entire planet! “This is a big deal,” says Phil Christensen, the principal investigator for TES at Arizona State University. “Although Mars is smaller than Earth, its surface area equals the sum of all the continents on our planet. Imagine a dust storm on Earth that blanketed every continent at once!”Then a few days later (23 July 2001) we had “The Great Daylight Fireball” which flew over Pennsylvania causing an atmospheric explosion that broke windows. Followed on 17 August 2001, by the brightest fireball over Colorado in recorded history, which fell nearly vertically over the San Luis Valley at 10:44 PM.
As we all know, in September 2001 a different kind of fireball devastated the Twin Towers and launched this era of violence, the second seal that loosed a spirit of violence upon earth, which will only escalate until the coming of Jesus Christ.
The Financial Bubble Explodes
2008 Seven years later, we see another “first”. The summary from SpaceWeather.com’s Comet Holmes Photo Gallery reads: “Comet 17P/Holmes shocked astronomers on Oct. 24, 2007, with a spectacular eruption. In less than 24 hours, the 17th magnitude comet brightened by a factor of nearly a million, becoming a naked-eye object in the evening sky.” The apparent size of the coma, or, extended atmosphere of the comet is growing dramatically. According to astronomers at the University of Hawaii, “It continues to expand and is now the largest single object in the solar system,” exceeding the diameter of our Sun.On March 19, 2008 the BRIGHTEST EVENT EVER RECORDED BY MAN occurred.
This event, called GRB 080319B could be seen with the naked eye! A powerful gamma ray burst detected March 19th by NASA’s Swift satellite has shattered the record for the most distant object that could be seen with the naked eye.
“It was a whopper,” says Swift principal investigator Neil Gehrels of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. “This blows away every gamma ray burst we’ve seen so far.”
Swift’s Burst Alert Telescope picked up the burst at 2:12 a.m. EDT on March 19, 2008, and pinpointed the coordinates in the constellation Bootes. Telescopes in space and on the ground quickly moved to observe the afterglow. The burst was named GRB 080319B and registered between 5 and 6 on the visual magnitude scale used by astronomers. (A magnitude 6 star is the dimmest visible to the human eye; magnitude 5 is almost three times brighter.)
“No other known object or type of explosion could be seen by the naked eye at such an immense distance,” says Swift science team member Stephen Holland of Goddard. “If someone just happened to be looking at the right place at the right time, they saw the most distant object ever seen by human eyes without optical aid.”
GRB 080319B’s afterglow was 2.5 million times more luminous than the most luminous supernova ever recorded, making it the most intrinsically bright object ever observed by humans in the universe. The most distant previous object that could have been seen by the naked eye is the nearby galaxy M33, a relatively short 2.9 million light-years from Earth.
Accordingly, exactly seven years after 2001, in 2008, the opening of third seal loosed “The Great Recession” a marked global economic decline that began in December 2007 and took a particularly sharp downward turn in September 2008. The global recession affected the entire world economy, with higher detriment in some countries than others. It is a major global recession characterized by various systemic imbalances and was sparked by the outbreak of the Financial crisis of 2007-2008.
What Next?
Now we are told that another fireball – one brighter than the full moon – is due to arrive in 2013-2014 heralding we know not what at the next seven-year marker of September 2015. We already know that there will be a Solar Eclipse on the Feast of Trumpets, September 13, 2015 and a total Lunar Eclipse on the Feast of Tabernacles, September 28, 2015. The eclipse will be visible throughout most of North and South America, Europe, Africa, and western Asia.If the sequence of events remains the same as for the first three seal judgements, 2015 will give permission to Death and Hades to wreak havoc across the world in various ways (including the sword, hunger and beasts according to Revelation 6:8)
Of course, the times and seasons are in God’s hands, and if He wills, events may slow down or speed up. Nonetheless, the trend towards a separation between believers and the world will continue, and the sense of disconnection will grow. There may perhaps be very trying times ahead, but:
“Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Heb 12:1-2)

ELIZABETH PRATA ON "SATAN, EZEKIEL, THE PRINCE OF TYRE, AND MAGNETS"!! FASCINATIING STUFF!!
SATAN, EZEKIEL, THE PRINCE OF TYRE, AND MAGNETS!!
Our lives are dominated by satan until conversion, and influenced by satan thereafter, but the bible explicitly says very little about him. We meet him in Genesis 3, learn a bit more in Isaiah 14:12-14 and Ezekiel 28:12-18, he appears in the NT to tempt Christ and indwell Judas, and then there's the big finish in Revelation. Paul and Peter mention a bit more but you get the idea. So what do we know about satan, AKA the devil, the beast, and as originally named, Lucifer?
I read Ezekiel 28 yesterday. An interesting picture came to my mind. In the chapter, the writer pens a prophecy for the Prince of Tyre and a lament for the King of Tyre. Tyre was and still is a city, located in Lebanon according to present day borders. It was a hotbed of commerce but also a place of dirty dealings and unscrupulous merchants. There was great wealth. Wherever there is wealth, greed, commerce and power, satan is at hand to stir the pot.
At God's behest, Ezekiel condemned all this in his prophecy for the Prince of Tyre in verses 1-10. In verses 3-4, Ezekiel wrote
The tone continues like that until verse 10, with the ruler of Tyre being reprimanded and warned against his sins. The prophecy was that God would send fierce enemies to smite him, if the ruler of Tyre didn't shape up.
Then halfway through the chapter, the heading changes to "A lament over the King of Tyre." What? Are these two different rulers of Tyre being warned? It seems so at first but then the language of the verses in 11-19 don't totally reflect that. In verse 13 read that he was in Eden, and in verse 14 we read that the King of Tyre was an anointed guardian cherub on the holy mountain of God. In verse 15 it was said he was blameless in his ways since he was created (not born). Ezekiel's language reflects the fact that the warnings have shifted from a prophecy against a human ruler of the earthly city of Tyre, to the celestial influence of the heavenly fallen angel Lucifer, a king with power behind the ruler of Tyre.
Prophecy is a warning as to what will happen. A lament is a grief over what has already occurred. These are obviously two different messages to two different beings.
What struck me was the tie between the two, again as reflected in the language. The prince of Tyre, or as in other translations, ruler, was charged with the same sins as satan was in Isaiah 14. Tyre's ruler was prideful (v. 2a), thought himself a god (v. 2b), enjoyed occupying the high throne (v. 2c) and above all his prideful, deceitful heart is mentioned four times within six verses.
The ruler is charged "by your great wisdom in your trade you have increased your wealth..." (v. 5)
Satan is charged with the same: "In the abundance of your trade you were filled with violence in your midst, and you sinned;" (v.18b)
The ruler of Tyre is charged thus: "Because your heart is proud,"
And satan, the king of Tyre is charged with the same: "Your heart was proud because of your beauty;" (v.17).
Both were charged with having corrupted their wisdom (v. 5 and v. 17b).
From this chapter we can gather important information. Earthly rulers can be and are heavily influenced by satan. Some even say that the ruler of Tyre was indwelled by satan. This act is not unprecedented. Satan indwelled Judas and it is interpreted in Revelation 13 that he is prophesied to indwell the coming antichrist, when he again (and finally) pridefully occupies a throne and calls himself God.
The picture that came to my mind when pondering the fall of the ruler of Tyre and the fall of the King of Tyre is ... magnets.
If you do not have the Holy Spirit in you by having repented and believed on the name of Jesus Christ, then you are influenced to one degree or another by satan. (2 Corinthians 4:4). Of that verse, Sam Storms wrote,
"Before we ever arrive on the scene with the gospel, Satan is exerting a stupefying influence on the mind of the unbeliever."
As a kid, did you ever put a magnet on a table, and put your hand underneath the table with another magnet of same poles, and drag the magnet around on the table by seeming magic? It can be said that the two parts of Ezekiel of the tension between the Prince of Tyre and the King of Tyre are two magnets. Satan is wielding a stupefying influence on the ruler of Tyre, and the ruler of Tyre is taking on more and more of satan's attributes. He cannot free himself from the pull of satan nor escape his magnetism, as satan first draws and and then drags the ruler around.
On the surface of the table, it seems that one magnet is going around of its own free will, here and there. But what is really happening is that underneath the table another, unseen force is influencing the upper magnet's actions and movements. That is what satan does to the unsaved.
There is no way for the unbeliever to withdraw from the magnet's pull. Only if the unseen magnet goes away, will the other magnet be free to roll around where it will go.
Once a believer is saved, the poles reverse. Turning that unseen magnet over, the draw toward will become a push away. There is nothing you can do to force the two magnets together, but satan still tries.
Sam Storms again:
The Holy Spirit is what makes the difference. Oh, satan will still be around, but if you resist Him, and the Spirit helps you do that, He will flee away.
So how do the OT verses in Ezekiel help us today? The prophecy came to pass and the prince of Tyre is gone. Yet there are lessons for us as there are in the entire word of God, whether Old Testament or New.
--Do we think more highly of ourselves than we ought?
--Do we think that we have earned success by our own wisdom?
--Is our heart proud? Remember, that charge was leveled the most frequently against both the earthly ruler and against satan. A proud heart is a dangerous thing to carry.
--Have we made an idol of our achievements, possessions, or perceived power?
--Did we properly acknowledge our Holy God for all we are and all we have?
So that's my thought for today on what I've read recently! Your thoughts and insights are welcome. Let's praise our Holy God that He delivered this wisdom of the bible to us and that we live in a free place where we can read it, pray over it and discuss it all openly and with proper honor to the worthy One!

Although he may be invisible to the eye and undetected by physical means, you may rest assured that he is present, employing every imaginable device (and some unimaginable) to undermine the integrity of God’s people and to sow seeds of discord and confusion."

THE BBC STRIKES AGAIN WITH EVEN MORE SATANIC INFLUENCES!!!
The BBC New Broadcasting Building and All Souls "Temple": Magickally Broadcasting Pedophile Programming and Harvesting Ritual Sacrifice Magick Towards Descending Man into the Pit
The BBC has been shaken in recent months in fallout related to paedophile Jimmy Savile. Some pictures of the BBC headquarters in Central London called the Broadcasting House were brought to my attention (Thanks Harry) that are of the kind that speak a thousand words. The Broadcasting facility bears imagery that broadcasts through a symbol antenna a dark spell of paedophilia magick.On the front we find a statue of Prospero and Ariel. “In 1932 Gill produced a group of sculptures, Prospero and Ariel, and others for the BBC's Broadcasting House in London.” His work is also seen one or more of London's churches.
“Over the front entrance of Broadcasting House stand the statues of Prospero and Ariel (from Shakespeare's last play The Tempest), by Eric Gill. Prospero, Ariel's master, stands 10ft tall and is depicted sending Ariel out into the world. Ariel, as the spirit of the air, was felt to be an appropriate symbol for the new mystery of broadcasting. After Broadcasting House was opened and the statues were installed (1933), concern was voiced about the size of the sprite’s genitalia. These characters are from the Shakespearean play that is so highly favored by Freemasons. The giant bell at the Olympic Stadium in London is inscribed with Caliban's speech from The Tempest, as you may recall. Prospero is a wizard, a sorcerer some believe is modeled on Dr John Dee, the man who's Monas Hieroglyphica symbol gets a lot of play in the ongoing Sodomite Gateway Series due to the popularity of variants in todays logo graphics. The character Ariel is the spirit of the air. Biblically, this is a demon, one of the “birds of the air” associated with the prince of the power of the air, Satan. Ariel is pictured as a nude boy with genitalia that has caused some controversy due to the relative size.
What seems to go unnoticed in the graven image is the peculiar matter of Prospero's right hand. I think the artist intended to convey a sense of the man holding his penis. There is a degree of plausible deniability, of course, but esoteric art effectively conceals and reveals many things, such that, if they were recognized by decent folk they would not be tolerated.

The statues featured at the BBC exhibit the same kind of subtlety seen in the Michelangelo's paintings on the ceiling of the Vatican's Sistine Chapel. One panel of that esoteric artistry pictured oral sex in the Garden of Eden. In the same way, Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man pictures sodomy.
Another of Gill's works adorning the BBC Broadcasting House is this one titled, “Ariel Between Wisdom and Gaiety,” which looks to me like erotic art created and placed to broadcast the spirit of paedophilia and encourage sexual interaction with angels.The building is a clock tower, in a class of objects about which I written on this blog and on theopenscroll.com at some length. There is an implicit statement made in such biblical “high places” that declares independence from the Almighty Creator's calendar and clock, His appointed celestial-terrestrial timepiece.
It is a declaration of divorcement, separation from His times and seasons and from His authority, asserting the rulership over man by another in His stead. It is a monument to rebellion. It is more than a mere statement because there is demonic authority expressed in such things. This is why the Lord commanded the kings over His people to tear down the high places, which was done by obedient men like Josiah with the result of blessing and protection. In the BBC Television Centre courtyard above what used to be a fountain stands a gilded image of Helios, aka Horus. Below the fountain bowl appear two reclining figures said to represent sound and vision. I believe these represent the physical mechanism of the transformation of man into the gold body spawn of Horus, ultimately manifest through what the Bible calls the mark of the Beast.
Another Occult antenna broadcasting from that location is called Breathing, seen atop the roof of the Egton Wing.

Breath is linked to the soul and to spirit. This is breathing spirit as a powered crystal cone of power that channels light and sound. The energy raised by this ritual device involves the reporters and crew who have died while serving the BBC, leveraging that as a ritual sacrifice. I believe this helical spiral crystalline object is intended to represent and move us towards a DNA transformation. DNA is the book of life, with words represented in the pairing of letters. Since the 1980s there has been an explosion of tattooing in America and the West. In the younger generation it is as high as 35 percent have tattoos! This is really staggering, as when I was young very few men and virtually no women had tattoos. This dramatic change has occurred in my lifetime and right before our eyes. No matter where I go, I see people with tattoos.
I believe that there is a reason for this surge of tattoos across the world as this is preparing the people to receive the Mark of the Beast. I believe the Mark of Beast is going to be in the form of a tattoo and society is now being conditioned to accept it. Having a tattoo will be normal or no big deal to most people and especially the young.
The Jews were forbidden by the Bible to wear tattoos and other marks, as it was part of them being separate from the pagans. Early Christianity also forbid tattooing the body.
Leviticus 19:28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.
The pagans would tattoo pictures of their gods and also would have piercings and cut themselves. Virtually all pagan cultures tattooed the body as this was part of paganism.
What I see happening now is Western society reverting back to paganism. As the West rejected the Bible and the God of Israel, paganism is flooding in to fill the void. Rock music, tattoos, drugs, abortion, sexual immorality and homosexuality are all part of paganism. This is all evidence of the West reverting back to its pagan roots with tattoos perhaps the most evident of this slide. It is as if the West is basically pagan already just without the pagan gods. The West is now in the process of backing into paganism. I see the society being prepared for the New Age form of paganism.
Just prior to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, paganism will be the dominant world religion. The pagans wore tattoos, so the Mark of the Beast will not seem unusual to most people. The pagans, like the Egyptians with pharaoh, worshiped their leaders as gods; therefore, worshiping the antichrist as God fits right in with paganism along with taking the Mark of the Beast. Just like the pagans of old, the modern pagans will also have a tattoo of their god, the antichrist.

The technology has now reached the point that electronic-tattoos called an epidermal electronic system” (EES) can be placed on the body and tie directly into a Wi-Fi system. The idea of having a tattoo tied into the world-wide web is now very close and in a sense is here already. It needs to be perfected and set up for mass production, but the principal is now here; merging a tattoo, the Mark, with a system that can be set up where no one can buy or sell without the Mark. It is now not far off into the future when this system can be put into place.

2013 is going to be the convergence of many events that have been more or less in a holding pattern. First of all, there exists a hidden and very powerful, Satanic elite that is largely controlling world events. This elite which goes all the way back to Nimrod and the Tower of Babel has changed names many times. Sir Francis Bacon, a Rosicrucian (the forerunner of the Illuminati,) planned for America to be the “New Atlantis” and head of the New World Order, long before 1776.
The Illuminati was officially formed in 1776 by Adam Weishaupt, the same year America was born. Many of our Founding Fathers who claimed to be Christians were actually member of the Illuminati. The architectural symbolism all over Washington D.C. is Illuminati and Freemasonry symbolism. For example, according to the historical legend of Nimrod and his wife Semiramis who built the Tower of Babel and created Babylon, there is a deep meaning behind architectural symbols such as the Washington Monument and the rest of the nation’s capital. Washington D.C. is a mirror city to the Vatican. The Washington Monument is a phallic symbol and the capital is the symbol of a womb. This is repeated in Egypt and many other cultures.
Nimrod married the beautiful Semiramis who was either a prostitute or a madam. Some legends indicate she was both Nimrod’s mother and wife. In a power struggle at Babylon, which was the world’s first one world government, one world economic system and one world religion, Semiramis murdered the powerful Nimrod. It appears Nimrod was far more than an ordinary man, he apparently was a Nephilim. The Nephilim was the hybrid race that were produced when fallen angels (B’nai Elohim) had sexual relations with human women. This act of interspecies breeding, which was forbidden by God, produced a race of supermen who were called the “mighty men of old,” or the Nephilim. Apparently, they were physically giants and had highly advanced knowledge. The Nephilim were responsible for the advanced technology and science that produced the great megalithic structures such as the Egyptian pyramids, the Mayan and Incan ruins, Stonehenge and countless other architectural structures that would be impossible to build even with today’s technology. They are advanced and giant instruments of technology which transmit energy and they are constructed to line up with stars and galaxies and are built in accordance with celestial mathematical equations that modern science has yet to discover. In addition, they seem to indicate direct contact with advanced civilizations from outer space, an idea being considered by a growing body of scientists.
Finally these Nephilim-built structures were occult and Satanic temples of worship which involved human sacrifice. Nimrod designed the Tower of Babel to allow men to project themselves into the stars in order to become gods and to worship the hosts of heaven, which would have been stars and fallen angels.
In the Biblical account Lucifer wants to become God and leads a revolution of one third of the angels against the throne of God, so that Lucifer can seize God’s throne and become God. When Nimrod, whose DNA was a combination of fallen angel DNA and human DNA, built the Tower of Babel it was to contact and worship these fallen angels.
Throughout the Old Testament we read about the mighty men of old, which refers to the Nephilim. The giant Goliath and his brother were Nelphilim. In the story of Joshua and Caleb fighting all the giants in the land of Canaan, they were actually fighting the Nephilim. The Nephilim founded the Canaanite religion which was adopted by the pagan cultures of the time, and all versions included similar styles of Satanic worship. For example, the ancient Canaanites burned their children alive in the white-hot metallic hands of the god Moloch or Baal. They indulged in the most perverse sexual orgies, Satanic worship, and drug taking.
But, what is most interesting is that these Satanic religions are alive and well today and growing. The secret society ceremonies at places like the Bohemian Grove feature drug taking, orgies and the sacrifice of child-like effigies which burned in the hands of a giant statue of Moloch, who looks like an enormous owl. Why would Presidents, Vice Presidents, Prime Ministers, leading scientists, the wealthiest men in the world, and other members of the elite worship Moloch even in what appear to be mock ceremonies?
Throughout Europe a very powerful and secretive elite participate in Satanic rituals, human sacrifice and sexual orgies in giant underground caves. Some of the world’s leading financiers and heads of government and culture participate in these rituals. In fact, at one time these rituals were sponsored by what was called the Hell Fire Club, which Benjamin Franklin participated in.
All of the ancient mystery or occult-based religions began at Babylon. Semiramis murdered her husband Nimrod, and to conceal this murder from the population of Babylon she told them that Nimrod had ascended into the heavens and become the sun-god Ra, who was to be worshipped. However, after Nimrod’s death, Semiramis became pregnant because she was carrying on an illicit affair. To conceal her affair, she told the people that she became supernaturally pregnant (a counterfeit of the Virgin Birth.) Semiramis claimed she became pregnant by using a phallic symbol upon herself. This began the countless architectural phallic symbols and womb symbols that have been built around the world, including Cleopatra’s Needle in Manhattan, New York.
That is very difficult for some people to accept because they have been indoctrinated into what is called a “scientific-materialistic” world view. Although, this view is not scientific, it is the perception that has been programmed into the American consciousness through media, education and social engineering and was planned by the Fabian socialists over one hundred years ago and who were secretly involved in the occult.
The Fabian socialists designed the new world order, but they also inspired secret occult societies and the Society for Psychical Research, founded in the UK. Past and current members include Frederick Myers, Alfred Russell Wallace, Sigmund Freud, W. B. Yeats, C. G. Jung, William James, Peter Underword and Charles Tart. This group has ties to the Illuminati and the development of mind control. Sigmund Freud and others helped establish the Tavistock Institute, which has implemented scientific mind control and social engineering worldwide.
In the Book of Revelation it talks about “sorcery,” which comes from the word pharmakeia, from which we get the word pharmacy. It talks about a global government which maintains control through drugs, the occult and scientific mind control. This global government will eventually be controlled by the Antichrist and the False Prophet, who will head a one world religion and a one world economic system and who will place the mark of the beast on their subjects.
But this is just the tip of the iceberg! Planet earth is controlled by a Satanic Elite which has now come out in the open and begun letting people know they exist. Think of the blatant occult symbols that have been projected to six billion people through the media. America and the nations of the earth are being herded into a global government, global economy and a global religion. The global currency will probably be called the Phoenix, which is the bird on the back of the U.S. dollar that many people think is an eagle. The primary method of tricking hundreds of millions into accepting this new world order is through occult-based mind control. Mass mind control uses trauma-based programming just like an individual mind control program. The collective consciousness of the human race, primarily through the mass media is being fed a constant series of images of horror, chaos, violence and destruction. Therefore the Illuminati slogan “Order Out of Chaos” is being implemented before our eyes. Another way of putting it is “manufactured crisis.”
2013 will be an acceleration of these manufactured crises. The secretive Satanic elite are guiding the nations of the world into the global Luciferian government, economic system and religion that the Apostle John predicted on the Isle of Patmos when writing the Book of Revelation. It must be remembered that often things like social engineering, neurological sciences, economics and politics are the handmaidens of Luciferianism. As I have stated earlier, the entire counter-culture revolution of the 1960’s was a massive mind control experiment. But if you listen to certain key words from the counter culture leaders themselves you see its direct connection to Satanism. For example, a shadowy figure who worked for British Intelligence and influenced Adolph Hitler was Aleister Crowley, the Great Beast 666. Crowley’s name and face pop up all over the place among rock and roll groups and filmmakers, and the LSD prophet, Dr. Timothy Leary from Harvard, openly said he was carrying out Crowley’s work.
What most people fail to understand is that in the realm of wars, social movements and revolutions, we have entered into an entirely different kind of battlefield. For example, in their book “From PSYOP to Mind War: The Psychology of Victory” General Michael Aquino and Col. Paul E. Vallely, discuss using ESP (extra-sensory perception), "telepathic behavior modification," para-psychology, psychokinesis ("mind over matter"), remote viewing, out of body experiences, and other New Age and occult practices in U.S. military intelligence. Their definitive statement is: “MindWar is the deliberate, aggressive, and convincing of all participants that in a war we will win that war.”
In “Mind War” the authors talk about using subliminal brainwashing technologies and weapons that directly attack the targeted population's central nervous systems and brain functioning: "There are some purely natural conditions under which minds may become more or less receptive to ideas, and Mind War should take full advantage of such phenomena as atmospheric electromagnetic activity, air ionization, and extremely low frequency waves.” That would suggest that EMF waves could be used against foreign enemies and theoretically U.S. citizens.
The co-author of “Mind War” was General Michael A. Aquino, a PSYOP Research & Analysis Team Leader who had helped found the Temple of Set, an allegedly Satanic organization which was the successor to Anton Szandor LeVay's Church of Satan. Those who would dismiss Aquino as some kind of occult nut should think twice. After reading his papers and research it is obvious that the man has a highly sophisticated understanding of history and the neurological sciences.
What many people do not understand in our nation and world is that they live in the illusion that battles are being fought with conventional warfare. The reality is that military warfare, social movements, religious movements and political campaigns are being fought by implementing neurological science that is 50 years beyond what we are seeing in science fiction novels.
In the Christian community you hear a great deal of talk about spiritual warfare and praying and fasting against the forces of darkness. But the level of understanding among Christians regarding spiritual warfare is on the level of a Kindergarten classroom. The kind of spiritual warfare outlined by the Apostle Paul can only be employed by understanding the integration of Biblical spiritual warfare with highly advanced neurological sciences and occult-based science. Otherwise, so-called spiritual warriors are coming against a 21st Century army with loin cloths and primitive spears.
In addition, modern Evangelical theology has been largely formed not by the Bible, but by highly advanced and scientific methodologies of personal and social transformation. For example, the Seeker Friendly Movements and the Emergent Church Movement have been synthetically created with mind-science technologies that began at the Frankfurt School in Germany in the late 1800’s and have evolved into neurological sciences which can program reality through the creation of new neurological pathways and the re-programming of DNA.
