With March 31 deadline fast approaching, growing number of experts warn against deal with Iran. Here’s the latest.

(Central Israel) — Less than 48 hours remain for a nuclear deal to be worked out with Iran before the March 31st deadline is reached.

Details of a potential deal are leaking out of the marathon talks being held in Lausanne, Switzerland, but they are far from encouraging.

In fact, a growing number of highly respected leaders, nuclear experts and Middle East analysts — both Democrats and Republicans — say they are deeply troubled by the apparent concessions being made to Iran, as well as Iran’s increasingly aggressive actions in the region, most recently in Yemen.

• Sen. Bob Menendez, top Senate Democrat, and a leading voice on preventing the Iranian Bomb, warned the deal is terrible. “If today’s news report from Lausanne is true, we are not inching closer to Iran’s negotiating position, but leaping toward it with both feet.  We have pivoted away from demanding the closure of Fordow when the negotiations began, to considering its conversion into a research facility, to now allowing hundreds of centrifuges to spin at this underground bunker site where centrifuges could be quickly repurposed for illicit nuclear enrichment purposes.  My fear is that we are no longer guided by the principle that “no deal is better than a bad deal,” but instead we are negotiating “any deal for a deal’s sake.”
• Former CIA Director James Woolsey, a Democrat who served with President Clinton, is warning, “‘Given the fanaticism of Iran’s leaders, I don’t think we can do a deal with them. They’ll cheat.”
• Dr. Henry Kissinger, the elder statesman of American foreign policy, warned the talks are going in the absolutely wrong direction. As noted by theWashington Post: “The talks, [Kissinger] pointed out, began as a multilateral effort headed by the European Union and backed by six U.N. Security Council resolutions intended ‘to deny Iran the capability to develop a military nuclear option.’ Though formally the multilateral talks continue, ‘these negotiations have now become an essentially bilateral negotiation” between the United States and Iran “over the scope of that [nuclear] capability, not its existence,’ Mr. Kissinger said.”
• Former Secretary of State George Shultz has warned, “They [the Iranian leaders] have already outmaneuvered us, in my opinion.”
• Israeli leaders say the emerging deal is even worse than they had feared.
• What’s more, Sen.Tim Kaine, the Virginia Democrat, is warning that the Iranians “are currently involved in activities to destabilize the governments of [U.S.-allied] nations as near as Bahrain and as far away as Morocco.” 
• The Washington Post editorial board is also deeply uncomfortable with the Administration’s approach. In a new editorial, they noted, “As the Obama administration pushes to complete a nuclear accord with Iran, numerous members of Congress, former secretaries of state and officials of allied governments are expressing concern about the contours of the emerging deal. Though we have long supported negotiations with Iran as well as the interim agreement the United States and its allies struck with Tehran, we share several of those concerns and believe they deserve more debate now — before negotiators present the world with a fait accompli.”

Here are the latest details:

• The deal would apparently allow Iran to continue enriching uranium with6,000 or more centrifuges.
• The deal would allow Iran to keep Fordow operating – its hardened, underground, and previously secret nuclear facility (only discovered in 2009) — with upwards of 3,000 centrifuges operating.
• This deal appears to give Iran a “breakout time” to build nuclear weapons of well less than one year. “Olli Heinonen, who ran inspections for the I.A.E.A. before moving to Harvard several years ago, published a paper on Saturday concluding that, based on leaked estimates that Iran would operate roughly 6,500 centrifuges, ‘a breakout time of between seven and eight months would still be possible,'” reported the New York Times.
• The deal does not deal at all with disclosing or preventing the military dimensions of Iran’s nuclear program, including how closely Iran is working with North Korea. We don’t know all that has transpired in the talks on Iran’s nuclear program being conducted in Switzerland, but we do know that the White House has shied away from a potentially paralyzing issue: the “possible military dimensions” — the PMDs — of the regime’s program,” noted an analysisin the Washington Post.
• For months, the deal reportedly included a provision by which the Iranians would ship their enriched uranium out of the country, most likely to Russia, but now Iran is saying they never agreed to such a concept. “The export of stocks of enriched uranium is not in our program, and we do not intend sending them abroad,” Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said. “There is no question of sending the stocks abroad.”

• Iran and six world powers tried to break an impasse in nuclear negotiations on Sunday, but officials cautioned that attempts to reach a preliminary deal by a deadline in two days could yet fall apart.
• The two sides explored compromises in areas including numbers of centrifuges used to enrich uranium that Iran could operate, and its nuclear enrichment work for medical research.
• But Israel, which feels especially threatened by the possibility of a nuclear-armed Iran, said details of a possible framework agreement emerging from the talks in Lausanne, Switzerland, were even worse than it feared.
• Foreign ministers from the six countries [held] their first full meeting with Iran’s foreign minister on Monday morning.
• German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said there had been “some progress and some setbacks in the last hours…I can’t rule out that there will be further crises in these negotiations.”
• The United States, Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China want more than a 10-year suspension of Iran’s most sensitive nuclear work.
• Tehran, which denies it is trying to develop a nuclear weapons capability, is demanding an immediate end to international sanctions that are crippling its economy.
• A Western diplomat said duration could be traded off if there were real efforts on some key parameters. “We all want it to be 15 years, but there will be different durations for various aspects of the deal,” the diplomat told reporters.
• Iranian negotiator Hamid Baidinejad said “15 years is out of question for Iran but 10 years is being discussed”….
• Several officials told Reuters that Tehran had indicated a willingness to cut the number of centrifuges it uses to fewer than 6,000, thereby slowing its program, and to send most of its enriched uranium stockpiles for storage in Russia.
• Senior Iranian negotiator Abbas Araqchi told reporters dispatching stockpiles abroad “was not on Iran’s agenda”.
• Western powers were meanwhile considering allowing Iran to conduct limited and closely monitored enrichment-related work for medical purposes at an underground facility, the officials added on condition of anonymity.
• Iran had originally insisted on keeping in operation all the nearly 10,000 centrifuges it currently uses, but said in November that Washington had indicated it could accept around 6,000.
• Iranian officials say they have been pushing for 6,500-7,000.
• Baidinejad said cutting the number of Iran’s centrifuges to 6,000 “was one of the proposed ideas by the other party”….
• “Everything could still fall apart” before Tuesday’s self-imposed deadline for a framework agreement, a Western official told Reuters….
• One concerns Iran’s demand to continue with research into a new generation of advanced centrifuges that can purify uranium faster and in greater quantities for use in nuclear power plants or, if very highly enriched, in weapons.
• Another question is over the speed of removing United Nations sanctions on Iran. A senior U.S. official said there were other unresolved questions but expected those would fall into place if the big sticking points could be worked out.
• The U.S. official said negotiators were working towards something that would be called an “understanding” rather than a formal agreement, which would form the basis of a comprehensive deal, including all technical details, to be tied up by June 30…..
• The powers’ aim is to ensure that for the next decade Iran is kept at least one year away from being able to produce enough fissile nuclear material for a single weapon.
• “It has to be a deal which puts the bomb beyond Iran’s reach. There can’t be any compromise about that,” British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said. “If we’re going to get this done here … Iran has got to take a deep breath and take some tough decisions.”
• His remarks contrasted with hostility from Israel, which is believed to have the Middle East’s only nuclear arsenal but is not a party to the talks.
• “This deal, as it appears to be emerging, bears out all of our fears, and even more than that,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told his cabinet in Jerusalem.
• Referring to advances made by Houthi rebels allied to Tehran in Yemen, he accused the Islamic republic of trying to “conquer the entire Middle East”.
• “The Iran-Lausanne-Yemen axis is very dangerous to humanity, and must be stopped,” Netanyahu said.
• Israel has previously threatened to attack Iran if it is unhappy with an eventual deal.

Obama Goes Full Throttle Anti-Israel

When Obama took office in 2008 there was a great deal of concern that he would seek to destroy the US-Israel relationship. Fears of him having a bias against Israel subsided when he reaffirmed the strong ties that America had with the Jewish state. Obama even told the American Israel Public Affairs Conference that Jerusalem ought to remain an undivided capital.

If Obama’s original objective was to turn America against Israel, he wouldn’t have been able to do it right away. Congress and the voters would have turned against him. What we’ve seen played out over the past seven years is the most logical strategy for someone seeking to erode the bonds between America and Israel. Here is a brief timeline that shows how the mood has changed:

March 2009, The Obama Administration joined the United Nations Human Rights Council, which devoted excessive attention to alleged abuses by Israel and too little to abuses in places such as Darfur, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.”

April 2010: Obama refuses to prevent the Washington summit on nuclear proliferation from becoming an Arab referendum on the evils of Israel’s nukes.

May 2011: The State Department labeled Jerusalem not a part of Israel. The same month, Obama demanded that Israel make concessions to the Palestinians based on the pre-1967 borders.

May 2013: Members of the Obama Pentagon, leak information that Israel attacked the Damascus airport to stop a shipment of weapons to terrorist groups. Obama officials actually had to apologize for this leak, since it endangered American lives.

August 2014: In the middle of a shooting war, Obama stopped a weapons shipment to Israel. According to the Wall Street Journal, Obama found out that Israel asked the Defense Department for shipments of Hellfire missiles. Obama personally stepped in and blocked the shipments. [1]

As far as 2015 goes, the anti-Israel rhetoric from Obama has gone off the scale. At this point in his presidency, Obama has abandoned all pretense of friendship with Israel. He is doing everything in his power to undermine that nation. Obama sent a campaign team to Israel to sway the election. He declared that the “occupation” of Palestinian land must end, and he is proposing to end the American veto block of UN Security Council resolutions that regularly condemns Israel.

Anyone having doubts that Obama is a secret Muslim would only need to watch President Obama’s Nowruz message to the Iranian people. Since Nowruz is the traditional Iranian festival of spring and the start of the next calendar cycle, he found it necessary to wish the people of Iran a happy New Year.

This is the same Iran that has another national holiday called “Death to America Day” on the 4th of November. It is also the same country that seeks to dominate the Middle East. It is pure insanity for our president to be blowing kisses to a nation that despises everything we value.

We descended one more level into the world of the bizarre when Obama said he takes Iran’s supreme leader, Sayyid Ali Khamenei at his word, citing his fatwa against the development of nuclear weapons. Since the Koran gives justifications for Muslims to lie to their enemies, it’s foolish for any Western leader to trust an Islamic based-ruling. We don’t need to know that Khamenei is a liar to know his fatwa is worthless. I wouldn’t trust anyone speaking openly about the destruction of Israel:

“It is the mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to erase Israel from the map of the region.” (2002)

“Israel is a hideous entity in the Middle East which will undoubtedly be annihilated.” (2010)

“The great powers have dominated the destiny of the Islamic countries for years and… installed the Zionist cancerous tumor in the heart of the Islamic world… Many of the problems facing the Muslim world are due to the existence of the Zionist regime.” (2012) [2]

Bible prophecy strongly indicates that Israel will be isolated in the last-days. We may soon see some event that will give Obama justification for ending all political and economic support of Israel. The possible causes are endless, but what is now certain is Obama’s anti-Israel reaction.

Of course, our dear American president is playing with fire when he ignores God’s warning that all nations that curse Israel will be cursed by Him. His desire to make friends with Israel’s enemies makes God’s wrath all the more likely.

“I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you” (Genesis 12:2-3).

China's Prophetic Action

Sino-American interaction--or perhaps better put, the lack of America's interaction--might have just taken on prophetic relevance. The nation, symbolized by the dragon, we know, will likely be one of the key players while rebellious mankind carries out the final acts of human history. There is some well-founded conjecture that China has made preparations to fire the powerful volley that could eventually prove to help bring America down as the greatest economic power on earth.

The story has yet to take on major emphasis by mainstream news, but look for it to grow in the near future. The news is not insignificant.

BEIJING -- At least 35 countries will join the China-led Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) by the deadline of March 31, the bank's interim chief, Jin Liqun, said on Sunday. Currently, India, Indonesia and New Zealand have expressed interest in joining the bank, he told a conference in Beijing, following a request by Britain, France, Italy and Luxembourg to become founding members. "By deadline, (we believe) 35 countries, or more, will become founding members of the bank," he said. (Source: Reuters, 3/23/15)

The Chinese government has been rumored for many months to be working to undermine U.S. top- nation economic status and the American dollar's position in the monetary world. That there is a grab by China to secure as much gold as possible is no secret. They are making deals with Russia and others for buying gas and oil, thereby, it is thought, working to marginalize U.S. involvement and influence. It is believed they are attempting to set up an economic system, which they would, of course, head--totally separate from American interaction.

It is worrisome to many within the world of economics that China holds so much of America's debt. Fears are that their manipulation of a tremendous amount of U.S. Treasury bonds will one day be used to help crash America's economy.

One concern that China is doing all it can to gather world economic power to itself is its reaching out to traditional enemies such as South Korea and Japan. The three nations met recently, ostensibly to work out territorial and diplomatic disputes. They agreed to continue to establish a trilateral series of meetings, and it is thought that the purpose of the meetings will be to secure stronger economic ties.

The dragon nation has proven to be one that is among the worst in the area of human rights. Its many atrocities show the leadership is led and inspired by a dragon of even more virulence--the great, red dragon--Satan.

Again, when considering the often-examined fact that America is mentioned nowhere in Bible prophecy, we must ask whether this current push by China to garner economic power at America's expense is yet another element of the end-times formula for bringing the U.S. down.

China, of course, is also not mentioned by name in Bible prophecy. However, is there much room for doubt that the dragon nation is there by inference to the student who studies carefully?

I believe that China as the major end-times prophetic nation from the Orient is presented primarily in two places in the book of Revelation. The first of the relevant passages is found in the ninth chapter:

And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. (Revelation 9:13-16)

The prophet John, through the prophecy given him by God, expanded upon the foretelling in chapter 16:

And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. (Revelation 16:12-14)

The king of the kings of the east–unless something very dramatic happens to change the configuration of things east of the Euphrates, has to be China. It could, by itself, have manned a two-hundred-million soldier army even as far back as the 1970s. Today, with the other nations of Asia and their massive populations, the two-hundred-million figure presents no problem at all so far as potential for fulfillment of the prophecy is concerned. And, certainly, China exerts hegemony over all of the other nations of its oriental sphere. Many within secular news media are beginning to recognize the same things those who watch Bible prophecy and current events have been recognizing for some time: China indeed looks like a major influence on factors that might bring about profound changes in the world.

Ironically, it is America and its rapidly fading wealth that has in effect funded the outfitting of that massive army that will one day destroy one-third of the world's population.

The Sunnis and the Shia of the Middle East are now at war with each other in Iraq, in Syria and Yemen. Pakistan is a nuclear power. The armies of Bahrain and the Gulf states include Pakistani soldiers. Pakistanis were among the dead in the first great battle against Iraqi troops in the 1991 Gulf War. But already, the battle for Yemen is dividing other Arab countries. In Lebanon, the former Sunni Muslim Prime Minister Saad Hariri has praised the “brave and wise” decision of King Salman to attack. Mr Hariri is not only a Sunni – he is also a Saudi citizen. But the Shia Hezbollah, who oppose Saudi intervention, called the Saudi assault an “uncalculated adventure”. These words were chosen with care. They are exactly the words the Saudis used against Hezbollah after it captured three Israeli soldiers in 2006, a stupid political act which started the Israeli bombardment of Lebanon that year. Iranian-backed-Houthi rebels preparing to fight Sunni Muslim coalition. The Americans do not know what to do. They cannot give the Saudis direct military assistance – their nuclear talks with Iran are more important – and so their soft verbal support for King Salman is supposed to mollify their Sunni allies and avoid antagonising the Iranians. But the closer a nuclear deal comes between the US and Iran, the more forcefully their partners in the Arab world will push their cards. What provoked the Saudis into their extraordinary adventure in Yemen was not the approach of Houthis towards Aden but the approach of US-Iranian agreement at Lausanne. Hezbollah may call the Saudi attacks a “Saudi-American conspiracy” – an overused phrase which contains some truth – but the reality, evident to every Arab, is that the Saudis, armed (or over-armed, as many might say) by the US, are clearly prepared to use their firepower against another Arab nation rather than the traditional enemy further north. Listening to the rhetoric of the Saudis, you might think that they were bombing Israel. History may say that the attacks on Yemen are the start of a great civil war between Sunnis and Shia in the Middle East. This would satisfy the West – and Israel – in a belief that the Arabs are at war with themselves. But it may also be true that this is the last attempt by the Saudis to prove that they are a major military power. In 1990, faced with the arrival of Saddam’s legions in Kuwait, they asked infidel America to protect them (to the fury of Osama bin Laden). They are a Wahabi nation, loyal – officially, at least – to the same theology as the Taliban and Isis. Saudi provided 15 of the 19 hijackers of 9/11. They gave us Bin Laden, who – let us not forget – was also of Yemeni tribal origin. After Yemen supported Saddam’s invasion of Kuwait, the Saudis threw tens of thousands of Yemenis out of the Kingdom. In revenge for their disloyalty. Do they expect Yemenis now to rally to their support? The last time the Saudis involved themselves in Yemen, they fought Nasser’s Egyptian army. It was a disaster. Now they have the Egyptians on their side. Indeed, they even suggest the Egyptians may stage a landing in Yemen. But to do what? To ensure that Yemen remains a faithful Sunni nation? Will this assuage the Sunni militias battering the Egyptian army in Sinai? More seriously, will it resolve the coming struggle within the royal family, whose princes do not all believe Yemen must be the cornerstone of Saudi power – nor that Wahabism must be the permanent sectional belief. And who gains from the new Yemen crisis? The oil producers, of course.
