Muslims in the Arctic Circle were not included in Allah's thinking when the Qu'ran was written
"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble." James 2:19 (KJV)
Muslims like to attempt to make the case that their god, Allah, is the same as the God of the Bible. They say that Allah is '
all-knowing', and is the creator of all things. The word ‘Allah’
comes from the compound Arabic word,
al-ilah. Al is the definite article “the” and
ilah is an Arabic word for “god”, i.e.
the god. Rather than being the Name of the Creator, Allah is a purely Arabic word which refers to god or gods in the generic sense. Allah was
the Moon God of antiquity long before Mohammad came on the scene.
So with that in mind, the 'all-knowing' Allah has a pretty big problem with his 'impossible command'
In 2017, the Muslim month of Ramadan will begin the evening of Friday, May 26, and will end the evening of Sunday, June 25. Allah in the Qu'ran gives commands to Muslim believers around the world, as we read here:
"...And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread of night. Then complete the fast until the sunset. And do not have relations with them as long as you are staying for worship in the mosques. These are the limits [set by] Allah , so do not approach them. Thus does Allah make clear His ordinances to the people that they may become righteous."
Qu'ran 2:187
As you can see in the above verse from the Qu'ran, Allah is commanding his followers to eat when it is dark, and fast while it is light. This command is for all Muslims wherever they reside anywhere on the Earth. And it immediately brings up a problem that Allah didn't seem to be aware of: the Midnight Sun.
What Is the Midnight Sun or Polar Day?
In the Northern Hemisphere, the midnight Sun starts on the North Pole as the Sun rises around the
vernal (spring) equinox in
March. Then there is midnight Sun for about six months. The Sun sets again around the
autumnal (fall) equinox in September, entering six months of polar night.
Allah's command on fasting would kill large portions of Muslims living in the Arctic Circle
Muslims living in the Arctic Circle regions would not be able to keep the fast in the winter, and would die of starvation in the summer if they were to attempt to follow Allah's command on fasting.
Whoever wrote the words of the Qu'ran does not seem to be aware of this phenomenon of nature, and makes no allowance for devout Muslims. This has led to numerous, modern-day attempts to "fix the situation as noted in the Daily Mail UK back in 2015:
Muslims in the Arctic Circle are urgently coming up with new rules for Ramadan when they are banned from eating during the day - as the region will have 24-hour sunshine. A Swedish Muslim association says new guidelines are being drawn up for the fasting month, which begins on June 18 this year, as members of the religion are not supposed to eat until sunset. Just three days later is the longest day of the year - when the sun blazes around the clock above the Arctic Circle and only sets for a few hours further south.

Allah may be a lot of things to the Muslim people, but one thing we know for sure that he is not is that he is not 'all-knowing'. And as such, he cannot be the same as the God of the Bible who knows the end from the beginning.
"Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it." Isaiah 46:9-11 (KJV)
