A magnitude 7.3 earthquake that struck west of Indonesia has triggered a tsunami warning that lasted for about two hours.
The earthquake hit about 3am on Tuesday at a depth of 84 kilometres west of Indonesia's Sumatra island.
A number of aftershocks were detected later, with one registering at 5.0 magnitude, Indonesia's geophysics agency data showed.
