ISIS Vowed To Destroy Mecca

By Walid Shoebat (Shoebat Exclusive)Some Middle East news (see references below) and countless other social media sites in Arabic are disturbed over some tweets that claim they were sent by Abu Turab Al-Maqdisi, a spokesperson for the ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria). The tweets stated that the head of the ISIS, Al-Baghdadi intends to destroy the Ka’ba, the holiest shrine to Islam:

“#The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. People go to Hajj (Pilgrimage) to rub their hands on stones and not to worship Allah. We swear that if we occupy it we will destroy the Ka’ba that is worshiped”. (Translation by Shoebat.com)

And in another tweet:

“Soon, Allah willing under the leadership of Baghdadi, we will destroy the Ka’ba that is worshipped besides Allah”. (see references below)

Others doubt the source claiming that the Saudi intelligence issued such tweets to smear the reputation of the ISIS.

With the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) having taken control of border posts in Iraq on the border with Jordan, putting Saudi Arabia’s security in danger, Saudi King Abdullah has put the army and security forces on the highest alert. According to the Saudi state-run news agency:

“Anticipating (that) the terrorist organizations or others might carry out actions that might disturb the security of the homeland, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has ordered taking all necessary measures to protect the gains of the homeland and its territories in addition to the security and stability of the Saudi people.”
Saudi reconnaissance planes have found ISIS terrorists heading for the Saudi border, aiming to seize control of the Iraqi-Saudi border crossing at Ar Ar.

Regardless, the destruction of sites associated with early Islam is a fact and has been an on-going phenomenon that has occurred mainly in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. The demolition has focused on mosques, burial sites, homes and historical locations associated with the Prophet Muhammad and many of the founding personalities of early Islamic history. The reason for much of the demolitions is that Wahhabists and Salafists believe that Muslim traditionalists go too far and see that even touching objects is considered iconic and thus is viewed as idol worship.

What is also upsetting Muslim fundamentalists worldwide is the Las Vegas looking structures that were built overlooking the Ka’ba known as The Seven Towers, built by the Bin Laden Group on top of what is known as Mount Babel.

Al-Sharq Al-Awasat had this to say about the massive project that was completed in Mecca:

“The project Towers Of The House is the first project in Mecca … which carry seven towers … “Towers Of The House” is on the area of Mount Babel in Ajyad. The site overlooks directly on the Haram al-Sharif (Holy House [Ka’ba]).”

“is also the largest tower in the world in terms of area. Contractor Bin Laden Group, Saudi Arabia … Classified as the largest building urban in terms of the total area on the face of the globe, where excess space land for the project 1.4 million square meters and consists of 7 towers”.

The 1.4 million square meters 7 tower structure (7th from left to right) is 3 times larger than the tallest building in the world, the other “Burj” in Dubai.
