Keir Starmer tells COP29 there will be new 'ambitious' climate target for UK

 Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev has told the COP climate conference that oil, gas and other natural resources are a "gift of God" and countries should not be blamed for having them or bringing them to the market

• Starmer will announce new emissions targets that he has described as "achievable"
