After Trump Was Smuggled Off Air Force One In A Catering Truck, Gulf States Now Accept That An ‘Obliterated’ Iran Controls The Strait Of Hormuz
Trump hid in catering truck in secret plane swap over Iran threat, reports say
Donald Trump secretly swapped planes as he left a Nato summit in Turkey last month, as part of an elaborate ruse in response to a possible Iranian threat, US media report.
The US president boarded Air Force One in view of television cameras before being transported to a military aircraft with the help of a catering truck, the Washington Post said. Journalists and some White House staff on board did not know he had been smuggled out.
Officials told the BBC's US partner CBS News that the US had detected a credible Iranian threat to fire a missile at the plane. The White House has not confirmed the secret switch.
Trump had earlier said he was Iran's "number one target" during the summit in Ankara.
The clandestine manoeuvre came a day after the US renewed military strikes on Iran following a breakdown of negotiations between Washington and Tehran to end the war.
Trump had arrived in Turkey aboard a newer Boeing 747-8 donated by Qatar, but announced that he would leave on the old Air Force One "for old time's sake".

Russia using North Korean missiles to strike Ukraine, Zelensky says
Ukraine and Russia have continued striking each other overnight, with Volodymyr Zelensky accusing Moscow of using North Korean missiles.
The Ukrainian president said strikes in Zaporizhzhia - which killed at least six and injured at least 19 - involved ballistic missiles from Russia's ally.
In Voronezh, in southern Russia, warehouses belonging to the online retailer, Wildberries, were hit by Ukraine. The company, known as Russia's Amazon, has been repeatedly targeted in recent weeks.
The attacks come a day after at least 13 people were killed, including one child, in Ukrainian drone strikes on the Russian republic of Tatarstan, more than 1,100 km (680 miles) from the Ukrainian border.
In a video address on Monday evening, Zelensky said "for the first time" Russia "cannot wage war without reinforcements from North Korea".
"The more North Korean strikes there are here in Ukraine, in Europe, the more their missiles and soldiers are used, the more they correct their shortcomings and blind spots", Zelensky said, adding that this poses a danger to the rest of the world.
In his address, Zelensky also hailed a successful air strike on a Russian petrochemical plant in western Siberia on Monday as a "very significant achievement" by the Ukrainian military.
He promised "more Ukrainian deep strikes, which should demonstrate to Russia and the Russians that peace is necessary". It is not the first time Zelensky has accused Russia of receiving military assistance from North Korea.

It Looks Like Israel Is Getting Ready To “Go It Alone” Against Iran, And That Could Spark an Apocalyptic Spiral of Escalation
It Looks Like Israel Is Getting Ready To “Go It Alone” Against Iran, And That Could Spark an Apocalyptic Spiral of Escalation
The Iranians truly believe that they have won. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has created a global energy crisis, and President Trump doesn’t have any easy options for reopening it. Meanwhile, Republicans in Congress are pleading with Trump to bring the war to an end because the midterm elections are coming up. The Iranians understand how much leverage they currently have with Trump, and so they are making all sorts of maximalist demands. But the same is not true with Israel. The Israelis are not concerned about the closure of the Strait of Hormuz because they don’t really use it. In addition, the approaching election in Israel means that it is very important for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to look tough on Iran. As a result, Trump and Netanyahu find themselves moving in two very different directions right now.
While the Trump administration develops an exit strategy, Israel is reportedly getting ready to go it alone against Iran if necessary…
Israel is preparing for the possibility of launching unilateral strikes on Iran if the US-Iran war ends, Israel’s Channel 13 reported on Saturday.
Prophecy Update: A Lack of Progress
By Daymond Duck - https://www.raptureready.com/2026/08/08/a-lack-of-progress-by-daymond-duck/
On July 28, 2026, Israeli Prime Min. Netanyahu met with Pres. Trump at the White House.
The Jerusalem Post reported that Netanyahu arrived amid growing White House frustration over the lack of progress toward a broader settlement in the Iran conflict and criticism from some of Trump’s supporters who oppose deeper US involvement in the Middle East.
Pres. Trump has not been able to convince Iran to give up its quest for nuclear weapons (they said they will never do it) and to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
As of this writing, it appears as though the war will continue.
Update: On July 29, 2026, following Iran’s proxy attack on U.S. forces in Jordan, the U.S. attacked Iran’s proxies in Iraq. The war is still on.
Netanyahu Privately Agreed to Partial Gaza Withdrawal Despite Public Defiance - Report
Netanyahu's rejection of Trump's 15-point Gaza plan unlikely to be final word
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may have categorically rejected the new Board of Peace roadmap to disarm Hamas in Gaza, but that is unlikely to be the final word.
The White House is reportedly "not bothered" by Netanyahu's statement and views it as campaign rhetoric in the run-up to a heated general election.
"We understand Bibi's political needs" the Israeli journalist, Barak Ravid, quotes a senior US official as saying – using a nickname to refer to the Israeli leader. "We have no problem with it as long as he continues to do what we ask – especially regarding restraining attacks in Gaza."
Recent days have seen an apparent pause in Israel's strikes on Gaza – something Hamas had demanded when signing on to the US-backed, 15-point roadmap.
And there is another suggestion that Israel is ready to advance US President Donald Trump's peace plan for Gaza – getting ready for the deployment of the International Stabilization Force (ISF). The force is made up of international troops, with the plan being for them to work with a new Palestinian police force to secure the territory.
The expected construction of the first ISF base is still scheduled to begin amid the ruins of Rafah in southern Gaza at the end of this month, according to Israeli public radio, Kan News, which would allow reconstruction to begin at last.
