Bashar Assad: the man who could start WW3

All eyes are now on Assad and Syria. He is losing control of the country and has threatened to start World War 3. He has threatened to attack Israel as a last effort before leaving power. He knows that if he kills Jews that in the Muslim world he will be a hero. Iran is backing him along with Russia. Iran knows that war is coming with Israel, so Ahmadinejad might want to start the war to fight it on his terms.
This is REAL serious because no one know what Assad is going to do. As I said, he already threatened Israel. Israel might preempt an attack by Syria and attack to destroy the missiles and WMDs! Iran will defend Syria and Russian said it would also. Again, it is all coming to a head and is REAL serious.
The US now has an aircraft carrier battle group off the coast of Syria and Clinton said that America would not let Syria use WMD. If America attacks Syria, this might bring Russian and Iran into the conflict.
I will try and keep you on the cutting edge of events with Syria.

All of this is happening just two weeks after the Gaza fighting. If this crisis calms down, the confrontation with Iran should come during the Spring 2012.
