In the very few accounts of the Holy Spirit gifting someone with the ability to speak a foreign language that they did not know in order to communicate with a trans-cultural audience, known as the “gift of γλῶσσα,” or languages in English, the Bible speaks of the Spirit “falling” on someone, “coming over” someone, or essentially overpowering them.
Let me just say that watching this video of charismatic pastor Perry Stone pretending to speak in tongues is, to me, highly disturbing and unsettling to say the least. Stone alternates from speaking in a very flat monotone, sound like Lenny from 'Grapes Of Wrath' to spouting the same silly and repetitive gibberish he learned from end times heretic
Kenneth Copeland. At the bottom of this article we have included some videos to show you how phony these people really are.

Perry Stone teaches some OK things, last time I checked he was still teaching
a Pretribulation Rapture and his end times eschatology seemed alright, maybe that's changed I do not know. But I do know that like all Charismatics who insist on having something that God does not want them to have, Perry Stone and all the others put themselves through the most laughable machinations as they attempt to
replicate the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I could be uncharitable and say 'counterfeit' but I won't. My point, however, is that all this faux spiritual stuff is junk, it is obvious to any saved person they are not speaking in biblical tongues, just like it is all-too apparent they aren't healing anyone either. But tell that to your average deluded Charismatic and they will attack you for telling them the truth. Signs, miracles and wonders are not for us in the Church Age, we are the 'walk by faith and not by sight' dispensation.

Charles Spurgeon once said that "the time will come when instead of pastors feeding the sheep, we will have clowns entertaining the goats", and of course he was referring to 2 Timothy 4 and Revelation 3 on Jesus' prophecy about the last days
Laodicean Church. That day is here right now, and growing worse by the moment. If I had been in the audience when Perry Stone started his phony speaking in tongues, I would have stood up and rebuke that nonsense. I wonder why nobody did, maybe they are so biblically illiterate they don't know a fraud when they see one?
Perry Stone Checks His Phone While 'Speaking in Tongues'
FROM PULPIT & PEN: When charismatic televangelist charlatan, Perry Stone, engaged in what some call the “gift of tongues” (unlike the gift recorded in the Bible, this is an ecstatic utterance of gibberish nonsense non-words and pointless gobbledegook gibberish), he was so overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit that he checked his phone, scrolling it out of apparent boredom.
Beginning with a repetitious phraseology, the kind forbidden by Jesus in Matthew 6:7 that He called a “heathen” practice, Stone moved on to look at his phone and then talk gibberish. Then, he picked up his phone while talking gibberish. Then, he picked up his phone and just moaned as he scrolled for messages, before putting his phone down and babbling nonsense again.
Behold, the power of…well, whatever it is, it’s not God.
