President Trump says peace plan endorses two-state solution, includes $50 billion in funding for a Palestinian state
Well, I have to admit, Trump's Peace Plan is actually pretty good, all things considered. It was strong, it stands for Israel while at the same time acknowledging the Palestinian reality. It even retains all of Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel. Amazingly, PM Netanyahu agreed to return to the negotiation table with the Palestinians and reopen peace talks with the Palestinians. That by itself is a huge step.
"And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there." 1 Kings 11:36 (KJB)
Now we wait to see what the official reaction from the Palestinians will be. The peace plan may be slanted in favor of Israel, but by no means disparages the Palestinians, in fact, it gives them a much brighter future than the one they currently have at the moment. But we all know that it is Jerusalem that holds the key, it is Jerusalem that causes all the problems, and it is Jerusalem that both sides claim.
Trump peace plan: Palestinian state, Jerusalem and settlements under Israeli control
US President Donald Trump unveiled his “Deal of the Century” together with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the White House on Tuesday.
The peace plan, which Trump said was already supported by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his main rival Blue and White head Benny Gantz, would give Israel full control of the settlements and its undivided capital in Jerusalem.
He said that the United States will recognize Israeli sovereignty over any land that “my vision provides to to be part of the State of Israel.”
Deal of Century establishes Palestinian state, Jewish control of Jerusalem
As part of the plan, Trump will reveal a map delineating Israeli and Palestinian state borders. He said the map will make clear the “territorial sacrifices that Israel is willing to make for peace.”
Netanyahu says Trump is “puncturing the big lie” that Israel is illegally occupying territory of its forefathers. “You are recognizing Israel’s sovereignty over all the Jewish communities, large and small alike.” He says past plans failed because they “tried to pressure Israel to withdraw from vital territory like the Jordan Valley.” But Trump “recognized that Israeli must have sovereignty in the Jordan Valley and other strategic areas in Judea and Samaria.”

Trump said the plan will “more than double Palestinian territory… No Palestinians will be uprooted from their homes.” Moreover, he said that although Israel will maintain control of Jerusalem, Israel will work with Jordan to ensure that all Muslims who want to pray at Al-Aqsa Mosque will be able to do so. The president said that if the Palestinians choose to accept the plan, some $50 billion will be infused into this new Palestinian state.
“There are many countries that want to partake in this,” he said. “The Palestinian poverty rate will be cut in half and their GDP will double and triple.” He then called for “peace and prosperity for the Palestinian people.”
