What does the moon position tell us about the enemies of Jesus?

What does the moon position tell us about the enemies of Jesus?

In Psalm 110, his enemies are under his feet

In Revelation 12, the moon is under the feet of the woman

When Jesus was speaking to the Pharisees about the Son of God, he quoted Psalm 110.

Matthew 22:41-46 (NIV)
While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,  “What do you think about the Messiah?  Whose son is he?”
“The son of David,” they replied.  He said to them, “How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit, calls him ‘Lord’?  For he says,

“‘The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand
until I put your enemies under your feet.”’

If then David calls him ‘Lord,’ how can he be his son?”  No one could say a word in reply, and from that day on no one dared to ask him any more questions.

Jesus quoting Psalm 110 is very important.  First, it proves Jesus Christ is God.  David refers to him as "My Lord."  And yet he is also the son of David.  How can this be?  Both are true because Jesus Christ was fully God and fully human.

We also learn from Psalm 110 that the enemies of Jesus are under his feet.  This helps us identify them.  They are under his feet as he sits at the right hand of the Father.  The moon is under the feet of the woman (Israel) about to give birth to the male child (Jesus) in Revelation 12.  Revelation 13 tells us the enemies of Jesus are the dragon and the beast.  From both history, and the world today, we know the universal symbol of the beast Baal is the crescent moon.

Revelation 12:1-3 (NIV)
A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.  She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.  Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads.

A GREAT SIGN IN HEAVEN--THE MOON UNDER HER FEET

The universal symbol of Baal is the crescent moon.  In Revelation 12, the moon is under the feet of the woman.  In Revelation 19 we learn the dragon and beast cannot reach him in heaven.  On the Day of the Lord, Jesus Christ will capture the beast of Revelation (from the spiritual Abyss) and throw him into the lake of fire, along with false prophet Mohammad.

Revelation 19:19-20 (NIV)
Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army.  But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.

THE CRESCENT MOON OF BAAL IS WITH MOHAMMAD

The dragon tells lies so that the beast can be worshiped.  Jesus said (Revelation 22:18-19) that words would be added and words would be taken away.  Revelation was given in 95 AD.  Just some 525 years later (610-632) the twin warnings of Jesus came to pass in the Qur'an.  The Qur'an adds the specific words that give the revelation plagues, and the Qur'an takes away the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and our mediator.  No other religious book does both.

MOHAMMAD IS NOT THE FINAL REVELATION

Revelation gives a clear warning against worshiping the beast and its image.  Prayer to the Kaaba (the words added in the Qur'an) brings the plagues of Revelation, ("he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb").

Revelation 14:9-11 (ESV)
And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand,  he also will drink the wine of God's wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.  And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”

Revelation 13:4 tells us the beast spirit will be worshipped.

Revelation 13:4 (ESV)
And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?”

Put your trust in Jesus Christ.  His words are always true.
