 Revelation Six Is Coming

I’ve been making predictions for eleven years. I got some of them wrong, and my record on timing is awful. And, it reminds me of this Danish proverb:

Det er vanskeligt at spaa, især naar det gælder Fremtiden.

It is difficult to make predictions, especially about the future.

And no, Yogi Berra didn’t say that. Niels Bohr probably did, but he was Danish. And, we would expect a Nobel prize winning physicist from Denmark to say something like that about predictions. It’s what any Dane would do.

So, making predictions is difficult – especially if you are looking in the wrong direction. And, I think that a lot of us are doing that. We’ve been listening to the misguided and wondering why we are unable to see what’s coming.

I’ve done that, so I can’t blame anyone for doing the same. But, there comes a time when we need to cast off our foolish notions and start looking at what’s happening more clearly. We’ve paid too much attention to stories about this or that evil thing, when God is the One who controls the direction our world is taking.

For eleven years, I predicted that we would stand where we are, right now. I knew that resource constraints would lead to war. I knew that we were hitting the limits to our ability to keep growing. And, I knew that hitting those limits would cause some countries to invade their neighbors – because killing foreigners is easier than living within tight budgets.

All of that is logical and predictable. History is full of kingdoms and empires sending armies to kill, steal and destroy – for the greater glory of their nation. America, Britain, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Rome, Russia and China have all done this for a very, very long time. Killing foreigners is easy, so we shouldn’t be surprised when a government chooses to do it.

But, the insanity of what is happening now?

That, we have not seen before.

The utter madness our world, is beyond anything that we have ever seen.
