Look anywhere and tell me what you see? You see fear, panic, desperation on a global scale and guess what? This is just the little, baby beginnings of what's in store. The big stuff hasn't started yet.
Last year, the dystopian indie movie 'Songbird' was released, and we have played that frightening audio clip on the podcast multiple times. It's a movie about a world-gone-mad during a time of a global pandemic outbreak like COVID. But in a stunning example of predictive programming, songbirds are actually dying in record numbers as the new Delta variant takes all the headline space. We are getting ready to enter our collective 17th month since all this began, with no end in sight.
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" Hebrews 9:27 (KJB)
For those of you who have long said that you wanted to "live in bible times", your wish is being granted to the Nth degree, with much more 'on deck' and ready to go. If it seems like the whole world is going through pains of some sort, you would be exactly right. This sin-cursed world is literally groaning to be released from its Genesis 3 bondage, as us humans are having our lives disrupted to a degree previously unimaginable. Who is behind all this you ask? Is it the New World Order, the Illuminati, the Bilderbergers or maybe the Church of Satan? All very good guesses, but for the proper answer, look higher than those I just mentioned. Much higher.
“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” Matthew 24:3-8 (KJB)
Remember the God you never had time for as you planned your 'career path', as your saved piles of money into your 401K, and got busy working on birthing and raising those 2.5 children? Remember all those Sundays where you had neither the time nor desire for Church, but instead spent your morning tailgating at the sports stadium? God remembers, and now He's reminding you in no uncertain terms that you have an unbreakable appointment with Him sooner rather than later. Look anywhere and tell me what you see? You see fear, panic, desperation on a global scale and guess what? This is just the little, baby beginnings of what's in store. The big stuff hasn't started yet.
"And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts." Revelation 9:20,21 (KJB)
The truth is that none of us, vaccinated or unvaccinated, have a guarantee of seeing tomorrow or even seeing the completion of this very day. Do you really think your salvation lies within the syringe of the mRNA vaccine funded by Bill Gates? Is flip-flopping Fauci your saviour? I come to you today with a message of hope, but it's not found in anything that this world offers, not by a long shot. Every nation of earth is in a deep panic right now, as events continue to spiral out of control, they fight for the right to captain the post-iceberg Titanic. The ship that even God couldn't sink didn't even complete its maiden voyage.
"Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?" 2 Corinthians 2:14-16 (KJB)
I read an article in The Atlantic earlier entitled "Then the Birds Began to Die", and I highly recommend that you go read it. In that article, the author talks with melancholy about the mass deaths of all the songbirds, tied in with all the havoc being wreaked by COVID. The article has one or two Bible references, but I couldn't tell if the woman was a Christian or not, she doesn't sound like one. What did strike me, though, was the general sense of hopelessness and impending doom her article conveys. For lost people, this is very true, but for the born again believer it is worlds apart from what is in store for us.
"Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not. This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me." John 21:18,19 (KJB)
Everyone wants their lives to go "back to normal", but there is no normal anymore, the abnormal is the new normal. The God of Heaven has begun to insert Himself into this world of ours, in typical biblical fashion if you ever spend time with the prophets, but this is no Sunday school story for the kiddies. This is real deal, and our world is freaking out, everything is going sideways at warp speed. Pun intended. You can look up and live, or your can look over your shoulder and run, but you have an appointment with the Creator of all things, and it will not be broken. Click here to make sure you're ready for that day, it will arrive so much sooner than you think it will. I'll see you here, there, or in the air.
