When a person or a nation runs from God, that person or nation may think they are running toward atheism. But it doesn’t work out that way. Human beings are religious by nature. Pascal spoke of a God-shaped void within every person. In fact, a person without Christ is his own God-shaped void. We are made in God’s image. Nothing less than God can fulfill us.
But people try anyway. They attempt to fill the void with everything else. The emptiness within reaches out to money, drugs, relationships… you name it. The world today is running from God but starving for deity. Those two things make a dangerous mix.

The Persecution of Christians in America Has Reached a Whole New Level

A lot of people out there never thought that things would get this far. In America today, churches are burning to the ground all over the country. This is happening because we have imported large numbers of people that are extremely hostile to Christianity from foreign nations and because multiple generations of our young people have been raised in our overtly anti-Christian public school system. From kindergarten all the way through college, kids are trained to view the Christian faith through a hostile lens. Meanwhile, they are brainwashed by anti-Christian propaganda in our music, in our television shows and in our movies. In such an environment, the fact that Christian persecution is increasing should not come as a surprise to anyone.
The legal system is one of the primary tools that is being used to persecute the Christian faith in the United States.
