Washington Free Beacon – “Palestinians dismissed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s suggestion that Judea and Samaria settlers should be able to remain in their homes even if they fall within a possible future Palestinian state, Israel Hayom reports.

On Sunday, a Prime Minister’s Office official was quoted as saying that Netanyahu believes all settlers should have the right to remain in their homes in a future Palestinian state.

“The prime minister believes that in peace, just as Israel has an Arab minority, there is no logical reason why the Palestinian state could not contain a Jewish minority and that Jews living in Judea and Samaria would be given the option to stay,” the official said. “It should not be accepted a priori that in peace the Palestinian state must be ethnically cleansed.” [...]

High-ranking officials in the Palestinian Authority outright rejected the idea. “Anyone who says he wants to keep settlers in the Palestinian state is actually saying that he doesn’t want a Palestinian state,” chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said Sunday.

“No settler will be allowed to stay in the Palestinian state, not even a single one, because settlements are illegal and the presence of the settlers on the occupied lands is illegal.”

Hashkama #46 - My Life in 'Apartheid' Israel

In 1971 my family and I arrived in Jerusalem from England and moved into a newly-built apartment. The first thing we needed was an electrician. I spoke to one of my neighbours, and he warmly recommended an East Jerusalem Arab. When the latter arrived, we found that he spoke excellent English; apparently he worked during the British Mandate in an army store. We were very pleased with his work; and after he finished and left us, he often took the opportunity to drop in and visit us when he was in the neighbourhood.

One morning in 1972, he appeared with a sheepish grin on his face. He said: “You know….I’m a Palestinian.” It was quite clear that he had only just heard of this – and it wasn’t surprising; for it was only after the Six Day War in 1967 that Arafat created the “Palestinian people” as an additional weapon against Israel.

Next on the list was a carpenter. At the Ulpan I encountered into an acquaintance from our district in London; he gave me the telephone number of an Arab from Bethlehem who had his own furniture factory there. One day, he telephoned to say that his car broke down. I offered to drive over and bring him and two of his workers. After they had finished working I drove them home. On the way we passed the Museum of Islamic Art in HaPalmach Street; “What’s that impressive building?” he asked? I told him. “Ah!” he said; “I suppose that was built during the Mandate.” Not at all,” I replied; “The museum was founded by Vera Bryce Salomons, daughter of Sir David Lionel Salomons, in memory of her professor, Leo Aryeh Mayer, rector of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a scholar of Islamic art who died in 1959.” He couldn’t and would not believe it…

Soon after I arrived I bought a car through a garage in south-west Jerusalem. Most of the mechanics were Arabs from east Jerusalem. One of them – from Bethlehem – was especially helpful; and when from time to time the work was carried out by someone else, we sat together and chatted over a cup of coffee. One day I asked him: “How are things now in Bethlehem?” He froze; with a look of terror on his face, he looked around furtively to see if any of the others were within earshot; there was no one …..But he didn’t say a word. Later, I realized what had happened: he was a Christian, and all the others were Muslims. A few years before our conversation, in 1995, Yasir Arafat and his PLO had taken over Bethlehem. When he made his debut Christmas appearance in Manger Square, he addressed an overwhelmingly Muslim crowd under huge banners with his own picture and that of the late ‘Engineer,’ revered bomb-maker Yihye Ayyash. “Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, goodwill towards men,” Arafat declared. “In spirit and in blood we will redeem thee, O Palestine!” answered the crowd. Arafat had already declared Jesus to be a Palestinian Muslim.

From that time on, there were no festivities in Bethlehem – no illuminated giant tree in Manger Square, no carols by visiting choirs – practically no tourists at all…..and practically no Christians! The Palestinian Authority has been Islamizing Bethlehem since Arafat’s takeover in 1995; 60 percent of its Christian families have fled, and Muslims are now 75% of the population. They have intimidated and maltreated the Christian population, extorted money, confiscated land and property, and left them to the mercy of street gangs, with no protection. The Press squarely blamed Israel.

Over the years I have had occasion to visit various hospitals. Once in Jerusalem I was in a waiting room with 11 other people – all Arabs. To pass the time I took out my Arabic homework and starting working. The others, fascinated to see me scribbling in Arabic, crowded around to help me.

A few years later I was in an emergency room. The first doctor to examine me was a lady doctor: an Arab. When I was discharged a few days later, her superior – also an Arab – examined me and signed the necessary documents. More recently I had to see an orthopaedist at the Sick Fund in a strictly Orthodox neighbourhood in Jerusalem; he too was an Arab.

Three years ago, I had a nasty fall, and had to go to a clinic to have a wound stitched up; it was done by an Arab doctor; and when I returned a few days later for the wound to be cleaned, I was attended to by the same Arab doctor.

Over the years, I have visited a good number of Israel’s shopping centres and places of entertainment; in all of them, Arabs mingle with the crowds without any problem or comment.

Today I live in a retirement home in the Judean Mountains; it houses about 100 souls. Helpers for those who cannot help themselves come from all over the world: Vietnam, Japan, Nepal, Eritrea, Switzerland, Ceylon and South America. Most of the cleaning staff are Ethiopians, and the kitchen staff, Arabs and Jews; all get on extremely well together.

But what happened recently, when I spent 12 days in hospital after a heart attack, is well-nigh incredible. Shortly after I arrived in the ward, a new patient arrived – an Arab from Ramallah. As he made himself comfortable in the bed, I silently gave him a "thumbs-up" sign. The same afternoon, one of his sons arrived – a young man aged about 22 – and sat by his father. I reached for my book, which was at the foot of the bed, but just couldn't reach it. The boy sprang up and brought the book to me. That was just a beginning; during the afternoon, be brought me a cold drink; darted forward when my book fell to the floor; and when evening came, he came over and arranged the bed covers for me. His father was no less attentive – asking me continuously if I felt better. He received a never-ending stream of visitors – including young women – possibly members of the family, because they all wore suitable dresses with head and shoulders covering; from every one I received a cordial smile. When I left the hospital, they parted from us with bear hugs and kisses. It is superfluous to add that all in the hospital were treated alike.

Finally, I remember that in the 1970’s Israel gave political asylum to about 300 Vietnamese refugees; they were given immediate citizenship, and were settled in the centre of the country.

To sum up: I doubt whether many of those who call Israel an “apartheid state” know the meaning of the term: it is: “A policy or practice of segregating groups.” It is clear from the reality that this label applied to Israel is without foundation; it is just another of the innumerable libels invented to defame and delegitimize the Jewish state.

A small band of Christians have formed an army to fight and kill jihadists who attack the holy sights of Syria. This is an incredible story of heroism, of how a few men can defeat entire armies, and it has never been reported before in the English language, until now.

The followers of Muhammad have invaded the entire Christian city of Saidnaya, in Syria, and as they debase and scoff the churches with their heretical presence, they oppress the saints as they cry out their blasphemous utterances, as the Pharaoh did, saying, “Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go?” (Exodus 5:2)

They have flooded the city, and when it seemed that the moon of Allah had eclipsed the sun and its incommensurable glory, the darkness was hindered, a ray of the heavens charged through the fog of confusion, and the mist of its holiness illuminated the single most lofty point of Saidnaya: a high pinnacle upon which stands a statue of Jesus Christ and a beautiful church called Deir Cherubim, or The House of the Cherubim.

Bible Prophecy 2014-2015 Timeline

In an attempt to organize upcoming prophetic events I have created the Bible Prophecy 2014-2015 Timeline. The accuracy of this timeline is not definite. However we can be certain of a few things.

First the destruction of Damascus, Syria is forming now! How long will the siege of Damascus last? I don’t know. Jeremiah 49 seems to describe a prolonged siege with mass casualties. I think that Jeremiah tells us that Damascus will not surrender until the last man is dead. Please read my commentary titled “The Nations are Disquieted over Syria” in my eBook “Syria in Bible Prophecy”.

Second we can be certain that the Turkish led invasion into Israel will happen after the destruction of Damascus. This invasion is known as the battle of Gog and Magog in Ezekiel chapter 38. Every nation that is involved in the battle of Gog and Magog is presently fighting in Syria. I don’t think that it will be very long after Damascus is destroyed that these armies will turn south a few miles to invade Israel.

It is my interpretation that Daniel 7:5 tells us about the formation of a Russian Union. I only suspect that the fall of Syria to Turkey and to the Muslim Brotherhood will prompt Russia to conquer several nations on its western border. The formation of this Russian Union may partially be a military campaign but Russia may also add countries to its Union through diplomacy. The creation of the Central Asian Union will probably happen after the formation of the Russian Union since that is the order that they are presented in Daniel chapter 7. The formation of the Central Asian Union may not happen in 2014 or 2015. Please read my commentary titled “The Leopard is Upon Us!” in my eBook “The Fall of Satan and Rise of the Antichrist”.

One thing that we can be more certain about is the dates of the lunar and solar eclipses in Jerusalem. As far as I know the bible doesn’t spell out specific events to happen on these dates, but it will certainly be interesting to watch. In the past these celestial signs marked significant events that happened during the same years, not necessarily events that happened on those specific days. I would keep an eye on March 20, 2015. That is the first day of the Hebrew calendar. One year after God appointed this day as the first of the year Moses set up the tabernacle. Perhaps Israel will begin a one year preparation to erect a temple and resume animal sacrifice?

I am sure that you are all aware that Egypt is in turmoil. The nation is operating under a temporary transitional government. Egypt’s fierce king could pop up at any time, or ousted President Morsi could reemerge, or both could happen.

SAEED ABEDNI MOVED FROM BRUTAL IRANIAN PRISON TO THE "POLITICAL PRISONER WARD" - AN IMPROVEMENT BUT NOT YET A VICTORY.

TEHRAN, Iran (BP) — Saeed Abedini, held in a brutal Iranian prison because of his faith, has been transferred from the murderer ward to the political prisoner ward, something a key supporter called “an improvement, but not a victory.”

Jordan Sekulow, executive director of the American Center for Law and Justice, said Jan. 22 the Iranian-American pastor remains in the deadliest prison in Iran, Rajai Shahr Prison, facing deteriorating medical conditions.

Still, Sekulow called the move the first positive step since Abedini’s transfer from Evin Prison last November.

“For the first time in six weeks, Pastor Saeed’s Iranian family was able to visit with Pastor Saeed today in his new prison ward,” Sekulow wrote in an update to supporters.

“No reason was given for the move and his family reports that this new ward, still within the dangerous walls of Rajai Shahr, represents a slight improvement in his treatment. Pastor Saeed is now receiving better meals,” Sekulow wrote.

Abedini still is throwing up regularly and coping with severe abdominal pain, according to his family, but he was allowed finally to be examined by a prison doctor. The physician, who reportedly was “very concerned about his internal injuries,” recommended surgery.

In conjunction with his transfer to the political ward, the pastor was given pain medication for the injuries he endured from beatings at Evin Prison, but he still has not received the medicine prescribed earlier for his condition. Sekulow said Abedini’s family in Iran has formally petitioned the Iranian government to allow him to receive the necessary surgery.

Naghmeh Abedini, the pastor’s wife, who lives in Idaho with the couple’s two young children, said she received a small bit of comfort in knowing her husband had been transferred out of the murderer ward, “but my heart aches to know the pain he continually suffers and that his injuries necessitate surgery.”

“As a family, it is difficult to be so far away and unable to comfort him in his pain,” Abedini said through the ACLJ. “Though we are encouraged by the transfer to the new ward, such a small step is far from an unconditional release where Saeed is reunited with our family. While this development is welcomed, we desperately await his return home.”

Sekulow warned that while the political prisoner ward should be safer for Abedini than the murderer ward, authorities have placed two violent criminals in the political ward who “consistently threaten any semblance of peace.”

Also, Sekulow learned that the prison closed recreational facilities and the library that had been available to political prisoners.

The ACLJ, which represents Naghmeh Abedini and has persisted in efforts to free her husband for well over a year, continues to work with world leaders and urge the U.S. government to make releasing Abedini a priority.

More than 67,000 people have signed a petition asking Congress to impose tighter sanctions on Iran until Abedini is released. The petition can be found at beheardproject.com/saeed.

Naghmeh Abedini is scheduled as a keynote speaker for the sixth annual Geneva Summit for Human Rights and Democracy Feb. 25, ahead of the annual session of the United Nations Human Rights Council. She continues to speak in various venues on behalf of the persecuted church and her husband in particular.

There used to be 300 churches in Iraq, and now they are only 52, which means the Muslims have destroyed 248 churches in the country of Iraq, alone.

While the modern minded people (who think they are intelligent), give seemingly pious objections against Russia’s anti-sodomite laws, they do not lift a finger against the real and blood oppression that are occurring every day in nations like Iraq and Syria.

As one commentator has said:

The U.S. and U.K., which oversaw the transition of Iraq from a dictatorship to a democracy, did nothing to ensure the protection of Christian minorities there. Now, Christians face persecution and death, and most have fled ancient communities.

THE TERRY JAMES PROPHECY LINE ON "SOUTH KOREAN MEDIA INTERVIEW".

Thinking on a visit to my office from South Korea’s public broadcasting group (KBS) a number of years ago stimulated cogitations about the perilous times in which we find ourselves. Fears back then of what North Korea’s then President Kim Jong-il might do with nuclear weapons, should he be allowed to continue to develop them, was the obvious point of the visit. Particularly, the South Korean press, like the press worldwide, wanted to know what those who examine Bible prophecy had to say about what the future might portend.

There was good reason then, as there is now, to be concerned.

As it stands now, the nations in possession of nuclear weapons technology are the US, the UK, France, Israel, Russia, Pakistan, India, China, and now North Korea. Other nations are pursuing the acquisition of nukes, with Iran being in the lead in the drive to become nuclear powers.

More than 40 additional nations are involved in “peaceful” nuclear power projects that could be turned into weapons research and development, according to the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency. Many within the diplomatic community who deal with nuclear arms control issues believe the developing situation in the spread of nuclear technology presents a more dangerous condition than that of the Soviet and US arms race during the Cold War. This is because there were only two powers to be concerned about, and because the mutual destruction that was assured if nuclear conflict began was a deterrent to both sides, who had at the controls people who thought about such an eventuality. There are tyrants and madmen today who seem to exhibit no such thought processes. At least not a thought process governed by concern for the people they hold under their despotic thumbs.

So, the people of the Korean Broadcasting System came to visit to discuss the matters involved –those of Bible prophecy as it might relate to the current issues and events of their region and the world.

According to a network spokesman, “KBS was then drafting a special edition documentary film on religion and society. A part of the film was dedicated to religion and society in America.”

Like so many of the media who seek interviews with those of us who deal in matters of Bible prophecy, KBS developed an interest in talking with me after checking out the raptureready.com site, the website in which I’m partner with Todd Strandberg, its founder.

The Korean peninsula represents a threat to disrupt world peace. Not since the early 1950s have things in the region presented such potential for armed conflict. And, this time the threat is nuclear, thanks to Kim Jong-un, son and successor of Kim Jong-il, much more so than was the Korean conflict of that earlier time.

China is the key to war and peace, however, just as that massive nation was the key to war and peace in that earlier Korean “police action.” If China chooses to put its controlling thumb on the young dictator, things will settle there. It is my view, at this juncture, that this will happen. China is in rapid development as an economic world power, and even more importantly from their perspective, as a world nuclear armaments power. They aren’t likely to allow hostilities they can govern to go out of control while they seek to become so much more powerful among the nations of earth. They can exert exponentially greater hegemony at a later date once their power is consolidated in the Orient and is fully developed. The Chinese are quite patient–and make no mistake, they are building for a future effort at world domination.

God has forewarned of this force, which I’m convinced is China, once it reaches its maximum power. It will bring with it all of the Orient, which will by that time have come under its great influence, if not its total domination.

Bible prophecy says about that juggernaut that will invade toward Megiddo for the final battle of the war called Armageddon: “And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared” (Rev. 16:12).

“And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them” (Rev. 9:15-16).

It continues to amaze me that the secular media around the world expresses far greater interest in matters of Bible prophecy than does the clergy. And, I must say that most within evangelical Christian circles seem the least interested in these crucial times in which we live, and which might be the very end of the Church Age.

Again I come back to my and other’s contention that it is apathy within the Church body –as much as the nation Israel being at the center of world anxieties– that comprises the primary signal of exactly where this generation might stand on God’s prophetic timeline.

AL-QAEDA PLOT TO BLOW UP THE USA EMBASSY AND JERUSALEM CONVENTION CENTRE FOILED!!

Al-Qaeda Plot to Blow Up U.S. Embassy and Jerusalem Convention Center Foiled

The Shin Bet announced Wednesday that it had successfully foiled a plot by three al-Qaeda operatives operating in east Jerusalem. The three men, of Palestinian origin, were recruited online by an al-Qaeda official in Gaza. The Shin Bet confirmed that the men were planning to attack the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv, the Jerusalem International Convention Center, a bus traveling between Jerusalem and Ma’aleh Adumim, as well as emergency responders who would have arrived at the scene of the attacks.

The al-Qaeda Gazan recruiter, named Ariv al-Sham, contacted each of the three Palestinian men separately and used each of them as an independent terrorist cell. The main methods Sham used to communicate with the three operatives was through Skype and Facebook. The Shin Bet believes that al-Sham received his orders directly from Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of al-Qaeda.

The Shin Bet stated that the plans were disrupted at the early stages of planning. However, Sham was very successful at how quick he was able to recruit and set up new terrorist cells, coordinate activities and money transfers, and use the internet to communicate with the three Palestinian operatives.

Iyad Khalil Abu-Sara, 23, of Ras Hamis of east Jerusalem, was arrested on December 25. Abu-Sara, who has an Israeli ID card, admitted under interrogation that he volunteered to carry out an attack on an Israeli bus traveling between Jerusalem and Ma’aleh Adumim. Detailing the plan of attack, Abu-Sara explained that terrorists would shoot out the bus’s tires, causing it to overturn, and then gunning down at close range surviving passengers.

Abu-Sara is also responsible for helping to orchestrate a simultaneous double suicide bombing. One suicide bombers was to be sent to the Jerusalem International Convention Center and a second to the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv. Emergency responders arriving to the scene of the suicide attacks were then to be killed via a suicide truck bomb placed near the vicinity of the attacks.

The individuals who were to carry out the suicide attacks were foreign terrorists. Sham and Abu-Sara planned to bring the foreign terrorists into Israel using forged Russian passports and have them pose as tourists. Abu-Sara was to travel to Syria via Turkey to undergo combat training and explosives manufacturing. He was then supposed to return to Israel where it was his responsibility to prepare the suicide bomb vets and suicide truck bomb that the foreign al-Qaeda operatives were to use. In preparation for his explosives training, Abu-Sara had already begun virtual training using computer files Sham sent him from Gaza.

The second operative, Rubin Abu-Nagma, was to be responsible for kidnapping an Israeli soldier from the Jerusalem Central Bus Station. A married father of four, Abu-Nagma was also planning to bomb a residential building of Israeli Jews in the Abu Tor neighborhood in Jerusalem. He also received virtual training in bomb manufacturing from Sham. Abu-Nagma was also arrested on December 25.

The third operative, Ala Anam, 21, is a resident of Aqaba, a town near Jenin. Anam was contacted by Sham using social media. He was in talks with Sham to set up a Salafi-jihadi terrorist cell in Samaria to carry out future terrorist attacks. Anam was arrested on January 7.

The U.S. State Department commented on the foiled attack on its Tel Aviv Embassy. An official told the Jerusalem Post that the U.S. is “closely monitoring the situation.” The official also added “The U.S. Embassy routinely employs a range of measures to safeguard U.S. citizens and all of our employees and their dependents. We have a high degree of confidence in our own security staff and in the Israeli security forces.”

The death of Osama bin Laden did not bring about the end of al-Qaeda.
