Commentary

The foundations of America are now destroyed. The most important thing to vast amounts of Americans are abortion, homosexuality and government handouts. The country seems to have spiritually died with the church nowhere to be seen. The idea of repentance and crying out to the Lord is just a foreign thought to the vast majority of believers. It appears to me that the nation is now sealed unto judgment with Obama as president. This is very sad to watch a nation die a slow painful death with such little response from God’s people.

This all seems behind me now as America is sealed. We can still grow in the Lord and win souls etc., but the nation succumbed to sin with the final blow being the re-election of Obama. If Romney won, the church would have continued asleep to what is happening. If there is any chance to awaken the church, maybe with persecution from Obama and the Hard Left, there might be the possibility of the real church crying out to God. I do not think it will take long now for the Hard Left to move on the church and anyone in their way.

On October 29, 2012, the state suffered $30 billion in damage from the worst disaster to ever hit the state. New York is going to pay a very steep price for violating God’s word about the sanctity of marriage.

“Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo plans to ask the federal government for at least $30 billion in disaster aid to help New York City and other affected areas of the state recover from the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, according to top administration officials.”

No matter what happens to the United States, we cannot stop being focused on the Lord Jesus and His coming for the church. It really does look like 2013 is going to be a troubling year from every angle. For those that are anchored in the Lord Jesus, we can remain in peace. The faith of many is going to be tested.

Hebrews 12:1,2 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Syria’s Assad warns of apocalyptic war 11/09/12 This shows that Assad is desperate and that he has the backing of both Iran and Russia. He would not say this nor would Syria fire into Israel, if Assad was not sure that he was backed by Russia. If Syria attacks Turkey, this could trigger a NATO response which in turn would trigger Russia to back Syria. This situation remains very dangerous.

“I do not think the West is going [to intervene], but if they do so, nobody can tell what is next. I think the price of this [foreign] invasion if it happened is going to be more than the whole world can afford,” Assad said in a Thursday interview with the Russia Today TV network. Assad warned that the domino effect of any military attack on the country “will affect the world from the Atlantic to the Pacific and you know the implication on the rest of the world.”

Israel hits ‘source’ of second Syrian mortar shell 11/12/12 Israel is responding very aggressively. The next move is up to Assad.

I think it is important for people to accept that first and foremost Obama is a Muslim. Secondly, he is a Marxist but most of all he is a chameleon. It is as if people look at him and instead of seeing him for what he is, each of his supporters sees in him, what they want him to be. If there isn’t some delusion taking place, I don’t know what else could possibly explain this. Yes, there are people who just want their free Obama phones and computers and to be allowed to use their food stamps to eat at Ruth’s Chris’ Steakhouse. But 25 million “Christians” electing a pro-abortion, anti-God, pro-gay, anti-freedom, probably-not-even-a-U.S.-Citizen who regularly circumvents the United States Constitution?

Methinks a great number of citizens are under a spell.

We are seeing some things merge together. What does Islam have to do with the Socialist agenda, after all? Well, as one of my readers pointed out, the two movements are simply using one another. And it all makes sense in light of prophecy. We know all freedom will be taken away. We know those who refuse to bow to the antichrist will be beheaded. I think there may even be a “false antichrist” before the real one comes on the scene. And that’s probably where Islam will play into this final scenario. There will be so much confusion and “double-crossing” that if it were possible, even the elect would be fooled. Satan counterfeits everything! I think that is what Pastor Mike Hoggard is getting at in his latest series. (Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. I Corinthians 10:12) I know Pastor Mike’s videos are long, and it can be hard to stay with him, but the reason for that is, he is meticulous about laying out the case scripture by scripture, rather than speculating or asking anyone to take his word for anything. He expects you to be a Berean, and only those who take the time to do that, can be sure of avoiding snares of deception, because we are getting down to the wire and Satan will be pulling out all the stops because God will be allowing him to do so.

Islam is a stepping stone. It is being used to subdue the nations of the Middle East, and it is also being used to subdue America, but I believe that the power of political and religious Islam will be broken early in the tribulation. Islam won’t be the universal faith of the last days, because they are monotheistic, and the global religion will unite all other religions. Instead I think that a great many people will be deceived into thinking that we are in the tribulation, when we won’t be yet, and possibly even to believe that there has been a rapture, when there hasn’t yet, and that a false antichrist is the perfect setup for people to embrace the actual antichrist. Because when the real antichrist comes he will come with lying signs and wonders and miracles.

Time will tell. We have to keep watching and studying. The closer we get, the more light will be shed on what we know. The picture will become clearer to those who are watching, praying, and studying, even as others become more and more deluded and confused.

When will the Rapture Happen?

[Please note: We are not setting a date. As Christians you are to be ready for Jesus' return at any moment.]

With all the hype surrounding 2012, it seems like everyone has an opinion of when the Rapture will take place and Tribulation will begin.
Theories abound. Some are plausible and Biblically well thought out; and others are simply not worth exploring.
[NOTE: Just so that we are clear at the outset, this writer is unashamedly premillennial and pretrib in doctrine.]

The Rapture

No one seems to understand that the rapture is signless.
As a result there is not one single sign that is be given whereby we can predict to the day and the hour when the Rapture will happen.
(Except perhaps for the sounding of a trumpet.)
Check it out for yourself. Nowhere in Scripture are we given any hint as to when the Rapture will take place. Any speculation as to the timing of the rapture can only be worked backwards seven years or so from when the Second Coming event.
If we can guestimate the timing of the Second Coming by current historic events and by what the Bible teaches us, then we may be able to come up with a ‘year time period’ for the Rapture. Once we have the Second Coming pegged, we can work backwards seven years at least to the Rapture event.
I see someone nodding in agreement because they have read in

Matthew 24: 36 “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”

The problem with this verse is that Jesus was not talking about His Second Coming.
Jesus had just said in the previous verse Matthew 24:35 “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away,” He was emphasizing or reinforcing what He had just said in Matthew 24:33 which says: “So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.”
Why would Jesus confuse us by saying that we CAN KNOW the season of His return in verse 33 and then tell us “that no man knoweth, no not even the angels…?”
In verse 36. If you read the passage carefully, you will see that the “No man knoweth” verse has to do with Heaven and earth passing away, not the Second Coming because He had already told us in verse 33 that we can indeed know.
Anyone can work out 3.5 years from the time that the Antichrist declares himself as God in the Holy of Holies. A 1260 day count is not difficult for most of us.
Ok ok, Jesus did not tell us the exact day and hour. What He did tell us is that there would be certain signs for us to see that His return is imminent.
On what we call Palm Sunday Jesus entered into Jerusalem as the Jewish Messiah. They missed it, and paid a high price for doing so.

Matthew 23:37-38

37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! “

38 ”Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.”

Jesus expected the children of Israel to know that He was Messiah and that this was the time prophesied by the Prophet Daniel that their Saviour would make His appearance on the earth.

Luke 19:39–44

39 “And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.”

40 “And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.”

41 “And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, saying,”

42 “If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.”

43 “For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,”

44 “And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.”

The suggestion here is that the Jews should have known that He was the Messiah. His Arrival was prophesied to the very day by Daniel.
Before that day, whenever His disciples tried to make Him King, He rejected the idea saying “My time is not yet come.”
But on this day He arranged it. He sent for the donkey.
Why this particular day? What made Him change His mind on this day?
Because that precise day was prophesied by Gabriel to Daniel

Daniel 9: 25 “Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.”

This includes a mathematical prophecy. The Jewish (and Babylonian) calendars used a 360 day year; 69 weeks of 360 day years equals 173,880 days.
This decree was given in 445BC (Nehamiah 2: 5–8 & Nehamiah 17,18)
In effect, Gabriel told Daniel that the interval between the commandment to rebuild Jerusalem until the presentation of the Messiah as King would be exactly 173,880 days.
God gave Israel the precise day on which their Saviour would come through the Golden Gate of Jerusalem. (Ezekiel 44:1–3)
The Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent sealed off the Golden Gate in 1541. It remains sealed up to this day and a muslim grave yard was placed at it’s entrance.
The precision of this prophecy has been the focus of many an attack by Bible Haters on the authenticity of the Book of Daniel.
We have not answered the question of when will the Rapture occur; but we must first lay more evidence on the table.
If we accept as most scholars do that the budding of the Fig Tree in Matthew 24 is the rebirth of Israel in 1948. And if we accept that a generation is 70 years (80 at the most) then in 2018, Israel will be 70 years old. This generation must see all those things spoken of by Jesus at the Olivet Discourse.

Imminence

Paul believed that the Rapture could happen in his lifetime. He says so in:

1Thessalonians 4: 15–17

15 “For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.”

16 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:”

17 “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

The “we” spoken of here includes the writer of the passage. Paul held to the doctrine of imminence.
Paul however did not have the benefit of the history we have today. In particular the fact that Israel was reborn as a nation after nearly 2000 years of global dispersion.
In 2018 Israel will be 70 years old. The final generation of the world as we know it is already grey and teetering on the edge of eternity.
Truly the Rapture is close at hand. Are you prepared? Are you still playing Churchianity?
I am sure that you have seen a list of “Signs of the Second Coming.”
I would like to put forward my own list and extract the emotion and hype from it, giving you the bare bones of what is happening right now as you read this.

Biblical Signs of the last days

It is not generally known that the great apostasy of the church is the single most spoken of sign of the end times in the Bible. Apostasy is mentioned in more books of the Bible and more times than any other sign. (2 Timothy 4:3-5)
Re-establishment of Israel in May 14^th 1948. (Isaiah 66:7-8)
Reclamation of the land of Israel. (Ezekiel 36:34-35)
Revival of Biblical Hebrew. (Zephaniah 3:9; Jeremiah 31:23) After centuries of slumber where it was strictly a liturgical and written language, Hebrew was literally reborn nearly a century ago in its original birthplace. Eliezar Ben Yehuda led the rebirth of Hebrew as a spoken language.
The opening up of the Bible and the understanding of Bible prophecy. (Daniel 12:8-9) Very important.
Regathering of the Jews. (Isaiah 11:10-12)
Re-occupation of Jerusalem. (Luke 21:24)
Resurgence of the Israeli military. (Zechariah 12:6)
Re-focusing of world politics on Israel. (Zechariah 12:3)
Arab threat to Israel. (Ezekiel 35 and 36)
Increasing instability of nature. Weather patterns are changing rapidly. (Matthew 24:7 & Luke 21:11)
Increasing lawlessness and violence. (Matthew 24:12)

Obviously this list could be expanded, but the examples above should be sufficient to show that we are living in the season of the Lord’s return.

Finally

The Bible clearly teaches that God never pours out His wrath without warning for He is a just and loving God who does not wish that any should perish.

2 Peter 3: 9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

That’s why He has provided so many signs to alert us to the fact that we are living on the threshold of the Rapture and for the mankind; the Tribulation.
Hopefully this will be of some comfort to those who are eagerly waiting for their Lord and Saviour to return for them.

James 5: 7-8

7 ”Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.”

8 ”Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.”

The prize for most idiotic voters would have to go to the people living in Michigan's 1st District. They elected Brian Banks, who has been convicted eight times for felonies involving bad checks and credit card fraud. Banks, a Democrat, won his seat in a landslide victory, grabbing 68 percent of the vote. His slogan was “you can bank on Banks.” Romney lost the election because of two key reasons: First, as he correctly noted in a secretly recorded talk with donors, 47 percent of the American population are dependent on government handouts, and they voted for whoever offers the best goodies. "There are 47 percent who are with [Obama], who are dependent upon government, who believe they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it." – Mitt Romney Ohio was a Key state in the election, and over a million people in that state have free government phones. One woman in Baltimore has 30 of them. Since they are commonly called Obama phones, it is a given that their vote would go to their benefactor. Second, as our nation has drifted away from biblical values, it has become easier for the forces of darkness to influence the minds of people. God warned that those who did not follow his guidance would be given a "reprobate mind" in Romans 1:28. The failure to understand the workings of the spiritual dimension is the reason why pundits like Rush Limbaugh, Dick Morse, Glenn Beck, and Karl Rove were totally blindsided by the election loss. Many of the people who voted for Obama have no idea why they find him so appealing. When you have a mind of Satan, a $1 trillion-a-year deficit, high unemployment, and a disastrous foreign policy don't matter. The politicians we have chosen reflect who we are as a nation. TrimTabs' Charles Biderman gave one of the best summations of the election: "My guess is that Mr. Obama and his close buddies have no idea what they are doing, or else they would not be doing what they have been doing. The most dangerous are those people who think they are smarter than they are." What has me the most concerned about a second term for Obama is what will happen when our nation's reckless spending catches up with us. If Romney was elected as president, I would have only given us a 10 percent chance of avoiding a crash. With Obama continuing on, we have nearly a 100 percent chance of collapsing into bankruptcy. Even the most conservative projections have Obama adding $6-8 trillion to the national debt. I received numerous emails from people who were furious over Obama's reelection. Many of them were angry at God for allowing this to happen. I would caution anyone who is mad at the Creator. Obama may sit in the Oval Office because of evils such as greed, slothfulness, and idolatry, but God is the one who placed him there. Wicked nations are given equally corrupt rulers that cause their downfall. Since Obama was doing such a fine job, I see no reason the task would be given to a lesser skilled person. There is already talk about who will be running for the 2016 race. I think it is premature to be planning for the next presidential election. We might not have a democratic system by the time we reach the next race. If there isn't mob rule, the job will likely be far less appealing. The night of the election results, Terry and I agreed that we had shifted into a more rapid pace for end-time prophecy progression. We've passed a point where every Christian should take extra measures to separate themselves from the things this world. Because Bible prophecy warns that it is all downhill from here, we should expect the downward spiral to increase with each passing month. To all my friends who are wondering if they can survive four more years of Obama. I would question whether we as Christians have that much time left on earth. "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. It was just like the day Princess Diana died. Everything stopped. It
seemed almost that the world itself had stopped spinning. This was
appropriate perhaps for the Queen of Hearts - but surely not for the
BBC, the Queen of Tarts? Every news item stuffed full of the hapless
Entwistle and the unctuous Patten. An extended edition of The World at
One. And so on. Drip, drip drip of penitential oil, hand-wringing and
will these wavebands ne'er be clean?

Can we use this tragi-comedy to get rid of the BBC please? Or, if not,
at least to force the Corporation to raise its own income instead of
picking our pockets every year for the utterly unjustified tax
euphemistically described as the licence fee. And please spare us more
propaganda about the licence as the BBC's guarantee of freedom from
having to compete in the dumbed down, dirty world of commercial
programming.

Have you looked at Auntie's schedules recently? Makeover shows, freak
shows, cookery shows, Strictly Rubbish, The Lottery, the oleaginous
simpering of witless professional narcissists such as Stephen Fry and
the lisping innuendo of Jonathan Ross. And have you seen what these
fellows cost?

Ah, but don't forget "the highest standards of investigative
journalism from the finest public service broadcaster in the world,.
as I heard from one parroting BBC apparatchik yesterday morning Lord
McAlpine and the victims of Jimmy Savile have suffered enough of this
stuff to last them a lifetime. Then there's that other vaunted
guarantee: that of true editorial independence and freedom from bias.

What a joke! The BBC has a social and political agenda immoveable as
the laws of the Persians and Medes. Look no further than the recent US
election when its journalists and presenters cheered relentlessly for
Obama. Or the arrogance with which the Corporation doesn't even bother
to deny - because realistically it can't - its tireless promotion of
the superstitious fad of global warming. The BBC was accused of bias
against Israel which it denied, setting up its own internal enquiry
into the matter. When the result of the enquiry became available, the
BBC refused to publish it and even went to the lengths of incurring
hundreds of thousands of pounds in legal costs to have the proof of
its anti-Israel policy hushed up.

The BBC displays incompetence, partisanship and self-satisfaction in
equal measure. Perhaps there was a time when it deserved our respect
and even our affection, but that time is long past. These days it is a
decadent institution failing in all the ways in which it is possible
to fail. Let us take the opportunity presented by the latest scandals
and address the Corporation in the words Oliver Cromwell used when he
dismissed the Rump Parliament:

"You have sat here too long for any good you have been doing lately.
Depart, I say and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!

I thought I had heard it all. That was until something turned up in my news feed about ‘Apostle Obama’ and his leading the way towards a ‘Kingdom here on Earth’. Yep, you heard right. Some professor had a vision which prompted her to write a book on this!

But this just goes to show that the Western world is ready for some kind of political Messiah, and yes, I am including the lukewarm church in this. If you think about it, this is not too different to how Germany felt about Hitler in pre-nazi Germany. And if you think about it a little further, if the Western world is ready for a political messiah, and that messiah is the antithesis of the real Messiah, it pretty much sums up the anti-christ spirit. Pro abortion and partial abortion too, same sex marriage, a so called christian president who says he stands for these things??? C’mon! Can light share anything with darkness? AND think about the other world politcal leaders that actually endorse this man, Putin, Charez and Castro. Says a LOT about his policies doesn’t it? Also, think about Obama’s stand on Israel, watch him very carefully over the next four years.
Now I am not a fan at all of ANY worldly system, and I think that there is good reason to separate Church from State. Yet we, in the democratic west have the freedom to vote. What kind of leaders was America given to choose from? A Mormon who believes that Jesus is the spiritual brother of satan, and a so called ‘christian’ who agrees with the death of innocent blood and that the sanctity of marriage can be messed with! America your choices reflect that you get the leaders you deserve. This has happened in other western democracies too, just look at Europe! America will share the same fate. Australia will soon follow. The church in the West is being judged and the true Church is recognising this. That is a good thing. But it will mean persecution. Are you ready for that?

The Tuesday election was a crushing defeat for the Tea Party-energized conservative movement but as a wise person once said, all defeats in politics are temporary. It is unfathomable to many Americans that a man they see as a wrongheaded, arrogant, corrupt Chief Executive could be reelected in a harsh economic climate, but as we saw with Franklin Roosevelt’s 1936 win during the Great Depression, it can happen.
For the time being I’ll leave it to others to hold forth on how best to take on the still-expanding Leviathan that President Obama is piloting but now that some of the initial pain and shock from Tuesday evening is beginning to wear off, let’s take a look at the grim future America faces if it fails to correct its course.
The economy is a shambles and thanks to the news-suppressing Obama-worshipping media, a huge chunk of the populace seems unaware of just how rotten things are. A quick recap: More than 23 million Americans are unemployed, underemployed, or have given up seeking work. The workforce participation rate is the lowest in 30 years. Annual household income is down $4,000. A record 47 million people are on food stamps. The national debt is now an astonishing $16.4 trillion and it’s probably going to shoot up even more.
This is just a smattering of the deeply depressing economic statistics that define the age of Obama.
