The latest post came today from a good anonymous contact, who stated:
Hello Nev How are things going with the setting up of this charity? Are you receiving support directly or is it only via this blog site that you are getting responses? In your request for help, is it solely financial help you are seeking, or other forms of support? I would dearly love to financially support but like many others at present, I am not really in a position to do so It might be helpful if you could list other requirements for getting this off the ground. Great idea, sad that this even has to happen but necessary as I have bumped into too many people who have been damaged by VO. Praying that they will be brought to justice and soon

Well, let me start by answering some of the questions here and others that have been raised over the past couple of weeks.
The idea was first suggested by my good friend Treena Gisborn (pictured above), a fellow "watcher on the wall" from Leicester, and you should have seen several articles by her on our ZION blog. She has got to know Rene Van Beek from Arnhem in the Netherlands (pictured below) quite well in recent weeks following his disgraceful treatment by Victory Outreach in Holland, and again there is a lot of information and harrowing pictures of all of this on the ZION blog. Therefore Treena and I decided to do something about this. We were hoping to have fellow watcher Rob on board as well, but this was not possible to arrange. Anyone else willing to join us in a leading or administrative role is very welcome, as the task might prove too arduous for just the two of us. We are starting by opening the handle on the door, and trusting that the Lord is on the other side to welcome the idea of this new project.
Also we have decided to call the scheme "a fund raising organisation" rather than a charity or a trust because both of these require lots of admin, and also quite a significant percentage of the funds raised goes to cover these admin charges.
WE WANT EVERY PENNY WE RAISE TO THE GO THE ABUSED OF VICTORY OUTREACH BOTH IN BRITAIN AND IN EUROPE, AS WELL AS OTHER ABUSED CHRISTIANS WE COME INTO CONTACT WITH! THAT IS THE PREMISE TREENA AND I ARE WORKING FROM, HENCE THE REASON FOR IT NOT BEING A CHARITY!
Therefore, we have decided to form a FREE fund raising organisation run by "Youcaring.com", and for your interest the details can be found at http://www.youcaring.com/faq.aspx
We have decided to use the acronym FACER, which is For Abused Christians (for) Emergency Relief. We have tried many acronyms for Grace, Jesus, Christian, etc but none seem to work. Because of the lack of other names put forward, Treena and I have decided on FACER, as this explains what we are about in the title.
We have decided to put James 2:14-26 into practice by trying the handle on the door. We have opened a new Paypal account (which is free) but not a bank account (which is not free). As you will gather, we are attempting to keep all costs to the very minimum.
However, the Paypal account has to be in a private name to be free, as "business" accounts attract fees. The name agreed upon for this is RICHARD STEPHENS (my full name is Richard Neville Stephens but I have been forced to use my dormant first name as I already hold an active Paypal account in the name of Neville). Here I am pictured below. I am Richard Neville Stephens, but friends and family call me plain old "NEV".
I will send Treena regular statements for proof that I will run it on Christian and moral lines. Those of you who know me will not need me to say this, but for those who do not, I promise in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to send EVERY PENNY generated by this new project and via the new Paypal account to our new FACER fund raising organisation. Both Treena and I are donating our time free of charge to support this great new idea.
If you would like to support us financially and have access to a Paypal account, please send all donations to "Richard Stephens" and mark them as a reference under "FACER". If you do not have a Paypal account, it is free and and easy to join, and is a great way to send money safely to anyone in the world!
For those who would prefer to send cheques or cash, please send them to Neville Stephens, Fairwater Post Office, 18 Fairwater Square, Cwmbran, Torfaen, NP44 4TA. I will then convert them into cash ready for the new Paypal account. We have already received our first donation, PRAISE THE LORD. The first of many we hope and pray.
As our anonymous friend stated in the opening paragraph of this post, some people will not be able to assist financially. Please pray for us, that is our most important requirement, and we can all do this. And if you feel you can send other suitable items other than money, please send them to the same address and we will arrange for anything sent to be used profitably for FACER.
And if I have left anything out, please send me a comment, for any advice will be gratefully received as we seek to do this for the Lord and in His name. We trust YESHUA for this new project as we step out in faith in His Name, so please pray for us and please send any advice or information which you think will enhance this new organisation.
