The Rapture Report - The Dangerous Ceasefire
The Dangerous Ceasfire Written: 8-30-2014 Rapture Forum Staff: Chris
Right now all of us see that Israel and the Hamas are currently in a ceasefire over the hostilities in Gaza. This is actually a dangerous place for Israel to be because if the ceasefire falls through and the "Palestinians" don't get what they want, then Israel will be pulled right back into the fighting again. I believe after this last conflict with Hamas, that the Israelis leadership made a bad decision in not taking out Hamas once and for all. I think it is clear that this current round of fighting where Hamas fired rockets into Israel at will is just a sign of things to come. And it will certainly not get any better for Israel, that is for sure.
The Israelis, I believe, had a perfect chance to "clean up" in Gaza when Hamas broke one ceasefire after another during the latest conflict. But of course, the powers that be in the world put incredible pressure on Israel not to use the overwhelming force that she has at her disposal. Even the anti-semitic President Obama threatened to cut supplies (missiles) off to Israel as a way to reign her in against Hamas. It gave many people the impression that Obama cares more about his Islamic brothers and sisters than he does about America's true allies. This was a dangerous act on Obama's part. It was reckless as well as it shows our allies that the U.S. will not stand behind them against attacks by Islamic militants.
One of the latest news headlines that shows the dangerous game Israel finds itself in now is that the Palestinians are now trying to exert pressure on Israel to come quickly to the "peace" table to draw up and agree to lines for a future Palestinian state. And to make sure that pressure is placed on Israel the Palestinians are threatening to join the rest of the international organizations and ICC (International Criminal Court) in order to try to apply international pressure to Israel to give into their demands. There is even mention that that the Palestinians want Israel to vacate the entire land of "Palestine" as well.
A current news article form the Jerusalem Post was a real eye-opener when they reported the 3 phase plan of attack on Israel in moving towards a two-state solution. The Jerusalem Post article goes on to report:
It calls for giving the Americans a period of four months to draw the borders of the Palestinian state and win Israel's recognition, the paper quoted Palestinian sources in Ramallah as saying. If the two sides agree on the plan, they would launch immediate negotiations with a defined timetable during which Israel would be asked to present a map of its proposal for borders, the sources said. But if the plan is rejected, the sources added, the Palestinians, together with the Arab countries, would ask the United Nations Security Council to "evict Israel from the land of Palestine."
If this move also fails, the Palestinian leadership would resort to a third option, joining international treaties and conventions, including the International Criminal Court, in order to file war crime charges against Israeli leaders, the sources said. The PLO leadership approved the plan last week, which was agreed upon between Abbas and Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal during their recent meetings in Qatar, according to the sources.
So, while the Israelis have achieved some calm on the ground for the time being, they will be up to their necks in attacks from the Palestinians in the political arenas. However, despite the rhetoric and diplomatic threats from the Palestinians, the U.S. has indicated that they would block the Palestinians at the UNSC if they try to pass any resolutions against Israel. But with the Obama administration at the wheel, it is not good to count on something from them until you see it done. Israel has learned this many times in the past since Obama has taken office.
I believe that the next month or couple of months will be important in seeing whether the ceasefire holds between Israel and Hamas (the Palestinians) as I believe that the Bible indicates that peace is not on the horizon, but that instead only conflict is forecasted.
To compound things, the current situation with the ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria 0r just simply the "Islamic State") is one more thing that threatens Israel in their neighborhood. The Bible predicts several end times scenarios that have not happened and that are yet in the future. These scenarios involve the Isaiah 17, Psalm 83, and Ezekiel 38-39 conflicts that we have discussed before here in the Rapture Report. I have gone on record before saying that I believe that the current situation with the Palestinians and the ISIS threat will ultimately lead to the fulfillments of the Isaiah 17 and Psalm 83 conflicts.
Things will not get better, in fact, they will only get worse. We have seen from other reports lately that Iran is trying to quickly rearm Hamas in both Gaza and the West Bank. This will in my opinion lead to the fulfillment of Isaiah 17 and Psalm 83 in destroying the "inner-ring" of enemies, which in turn will cause the "outer-ring" of enemies to invade in fury in the prophecies described in Ezekiel 38-39.
While Israel may have bought some time in dealing with the fanantical Islamists in its midst, they are clearly only delaying the inevitable that is spoken of in the Bible. Israel will have to eventually destory the enemies that immediately surround it. Let us remain sober and awake in the last days. I would encourage us all to pray for Israel during these desperate and dangerous times. May we pray for the safety of Israel and for the Peace of Jerusalem.
God bless.
