- And three more civilians were killed overnight in the eastern Donetsk region - though Moscow is yet to comment on the alleged strikes
- Last night, Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed Ukraine's counter-offensive was failing, with its army suffering major losses
- His comments come after Kyiv's counter-offensive against Russian forces got under way - with the Ukrainians saying their troops have recaptured seven settlements
- Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky insisted last night that there was "movement forward" - citing advances in several areas
- The BBC's Ukraine correspondent James Waterhouse was among the first journalists to gain access to the newly recaptured villages, where he saw evidence of "a lot of close-quarters fighting".
