Have you given much thought about the man who currently occupies the "throne of Rome?" I must admit that, until recently (just within the last year) I had not given him more than a cursory look. After all, I am not Catholic, and I know that the Catholic Church is the biggest and most extensive cult there is.
So other than acknowledging his role as the head of that "church," I really did not give his selection any particular credence other than that he might be the last one to sit upon the Roman throne due to the lateness of the prophetic hour. I am now beginning to wonder though, if perhaps Francis of Rome might not have a much more ominous role to play in the events which are about to transpire upon the earth.
Let me hasten to issue a caveat here. I am NOT in any way suggesting that the Pope (whomever he may be) is the Antichrist. In fact, I personally do not believe that ANY Pope is or will be the man of sin spoken of in the Bible. I do, however, think that there is an excellent case that can be made that "A" pope COULD BE the False Prophet - the one who paves the way and who works dark and supernatural deeds FOR the Antichrist.
"And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed" (Revelation 13:11-15).
Do you get what the Bible is saying here? There are TWO BEASTS if you will - the political one who will be the Antichrist: the man of sin, the son of perdition - and a second beast who will be the head or leader of what will ultimately be the final form of the one world religion.
This man who appears as a lamb but speaks like a dragon will be the False Prophet. He will be the one who "causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads..." (Revelation 13:16).
Note that I am also not saying that THIS Pope is the one who will be THE False Prophet, only that he very well COULD be, if indeed the False Prophet is affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church in any way.
The current Pope, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who has taken the name Francis as his papal name, this man, Pope Francis, is a Jesuit. This is highly significant. Pope Francis is the very first Jesuit to be elected as the Supreme Pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church in its entire history. If one studies the formation and history of the Jesuit order, it becomes abundantly clear early on that the Jesuits have had a viscous and powerful role in the history and function of the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church from its (the Jesuit Order's) inception.
Duplicity and deceit, treachery and violence are the hallmarks of the "Society of Jesus" (the Jesuits, the worst appellation ever given to any group because the beliefs and behaviors of the men who have been and still are in this society couldn't be any more divergent from that of the true Jesus of the Bible).
The Society of Jesus was formed to be the militant arm of the Catholic Church, and the deeds done in the name of this so-called "church" are among the most vile and viscous ever perpetrated upon human kind (study the Inquisitions if you want to get an in depth look at the horrors perpetrated upon all those who dared to oppose the iron arm of the Roman Catholic Church and her false and heretical doctrines.) Catholicism itself is the biggest cult and false religion that has ever been, and her history is saturated with the blood of those who stood against its many heresies.
The Church of Rome has always had at its heart, the desire to rule the planet. And, without a doubt, the worldview of this current pope is the worldview of Marxism and Globalism. The plan he has for the Catholic Church of today, in the coming globalist regime, is to play a prominent role in world affairs with himself at the helm of this spiritual "New Age" ecumenical Titanic.
The philosophy and worldview that drives Francis and his agenda is becoming more and more evident as each day passes. As his agenda becomes more fully revealed, the direction he is taking the Catholic Church, it's followers, and the global community as well is becoming more crystallized and defined.
Globalism and ecumenism are the goals of this pope, and Communism/Marxism is the vehicle that is being used to bring both pillars, religious and political, of this New World Order into existence. Communism/Marxism/Fascism will be the framework, or infrastructure if you will, that will form the basis for the coming global government as well.
If you wish to know what is in store in the near future, you need look no further than the Pope's upcoming address to the United Nations slated for next month in the United States regarding their new push of the incredibly evil Agenda 2030, which replaces the old, really bad Agenda 21. It is totalitarianism on steroids.
After all, no totalitarian regime can function in freedom. A free republic which allows for the free exchange of ideas, freedom of worship, freedom to teach the truth of history and critical thinking skills to generations of children can never be allowed; for truth and freedom are deadly to tyranny. Freedom of any kind is anathema to tyranny, and the kingdom of the Antichrist will most certainly be the epitome of all totalitarian regimes that will have ever been; for its scope will be massive and global.
It is the Catholic Church that, I believe, is the framework, the skeleton if you will, upon which the "new world religion" will be formed. The new world religion will be at its apex - an ecumenical amalgamation of ALL of the false religions and cults, including the false Laodicean evangelical churches and the vast majority of ALL of the liberal institutional denominations.
They will all come together to build the ultimate religious Frankenstein's monster, the one world religion known as the harlot church in the book of Revelation that will, for a time "ride upon the back" of the political beast-aka the Antichrist and his political system.
Make no mistake; THIS man, Jorge Bergoglio, was carefully chosen. He was relatively unknown, and was not among those prominent in the "line up" of possible successors to the papal throne when Benedict the 16th stepped down.
He literally "came out of the shadows" as it were. He was placed there, by whom you might ask? Well, ultimately by the god of this world (allowed to be placed there by God Almighty) in the position of Supreme Pontiff to do exactly what he is doing, which is to bring everyone, whether they be Catholic, Protestant, pagan, Hindu, Buddhist, atheist, Islamic, or any other people from every religious or non-religious belief system-all "home to Rome" as it were.
The only thorns in the collective side of the globalists are those of us who follow the Christ of the Bible literally. Those of us who belong to the true remnant church are the great impediment to them being able to complete the ecumenical and political tasks that they so strongly desire to accomplish.
We are "needles in their eyes" who just won't go along with their globalist agendas; those of us who won't toe the line with their all-inclusive, non-judgmental, "let's-just-all-come-to-a consensus" crowd; we, the pesky fundamentalists who insist that: (1) Man is a sinner in need of a Savior. (2) Jesus is that Savior. (3) Jesus is the ONLY way to peace between a holy God and sinful Man.
WE are their biggest problem.
The true Bible believing church crowd stands in the way of the completion of their task, and worse (for them), the true believers are always shining the light of Truth, via the Scriptures that illuminate their evil deeds and intentions and shows them up for what they are-evil.
Oh no, this is the truth that the crowd whose rallying cry is "tolerance" simply cannot tolerate!
God is right now in the process of drawing a great dividing line in time with ALL of the world's religions on one side and the true believing bride of Christ on the other.
"And if it seem evil to you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord' (Joshua 24:15).
Almighty God is shaking the "fence" so to speak, and all those who are straddling that proverbial fence are going to fall onto one side or the other. The Christians in name only (the well-known and the unknown) are being forced into the open, showing where their true allegiances lie, while those who are saved but who have been content just to blend in with the world are quickly losing their protective coloration. They are being forced to take a stand for righteousness.
While it is true that those of us on the remnant side are fewer in number than those who belong to Laodicea, and though we certainly are targets of bullying, ridicule, and outright persecution from the other side, nevertheless they needn't worry about us. Soon, our Bridegroom will come for His Bride. And we "who are alive and remain," along with all of the dead "in Christ" will be caught up out of this world to meet our Lord in the air! We will finally be out of their hair, which is what they so desperately desire.
When the removal of the remnant church finally occurs, they will all then be free to gather together, arm linked in arm, beneath the tenebrous wings of the Dragon, and sing "Kum ba ya--we will all be as one" until Satan, the one whom the Bible calls "that old serpent," bends his head and devours their souls.
And THIS pope? What might his role be in all of this that is coming in the very near future? Well, we cannot be sure, and we dare not be dogmatic or adamant about what exactly will be his final role in all of this, BUT, it is possible that Francis of Rome may just be the one who will stand poised upon the balcony of the Basilica -- standing there before the audience of the world; a world that has nearly been torn apart by war and natural disasters; a world that is reeling from the unexplained disappearances of MILLIONS of people from every continent on the globe; a world that is terrified and desperate for peace at any price and for a strong decisive leader to protect them from the unprecedented unknown.
Perhaps it will be a pope, maybe even THIS pope, who will one day stand upon the parapet of his palace in Rome with his arms outstretched. Perhaps it will be he who points his finger at the as yet unknown man who will emerge from the shadows and from the clouds of war to become the world leader that those who dwell upon the earth so desire to come. Perhaps this Pope will point to that coming man and cry, "The savior of the world has come!" And the Serpent will smile and hiss his approval, knowing that his time has come around at last.
