"THE TURKEY-RUSSIA PACT THREATENS WESTERN INTEREST IN THE MIDDLE EAST" BY CON COUGHLIN FROM "THE GATESTONE INSTITUTE"!!
Turkey-Russia Pact Threatens Western Interests in The Middle East
by Con Coughlin • July 25, 2016 at 5:00 am
- In recent months the Kremlin has hinted that keeping Assad in power is not its primary concern. Rather its main objective in Syria is to keep its strategically-important bases in the country.
- This has led to suggestions that, in return for building closer relations with Turkey, Moscow might be prepared to do a deal whereby Assad is removed from power and Russia's military interests in the country are safeguarded.
- If that outcome could be achieved, then Russia and Turkey would be able to forge a powerful partnership, one that would pose a serious threat to Western interests in the Middle East and beyond.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has embarked on a campaign to reach out to countries such as Russia, which he regards as a viable alternative to the U.S. in protecting Turkey's interests in the region. The deepening diplomatic pact between Turkey and Russia represents yet another damning indictment of the Obama Administration's ability to maintain relations with Washington's traditional allies in the Middle East.
Western diplomats regard the decision by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to restore relations with Moscow last month as part of a carefully-coordinated attempt by Ankara to build a new power base in the region.
For decades Turkey, a key NATO member, has said that it wants to forge closer ties with the West, to the extent that Turkish diplomats insist that Ankara is still serious about joining the European Union.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first!!

Thoughts on Today’s Verse
“In the midst of life we are in death,” is a well-known saying that is very true of every member of the human race, for we are born dead in our sins and we are spiritually separated from God. Death in the Bible means separation.. and although we live in...

"DEFENDING THE DEFENCELESS" BY J.L.ROBB FROM "THE OMEGA LETTER"!!
Defending the Defenseless - J.L. Robb -http://www.omegaletter.com/articles/articles.asp?ArticleID=8277
With the police under attack in the United States, I wonder what would happen if they all went on strike? They have one of the toughest and most thankless jobs, and they don't do it for the money.
If we woke up tomorrow and there were no policemen, how long before looters hit the streets? How long before sexual predators hit the streets? How many senseless killings would there be over tennis shoes or video games? It would pretty much be survival of the fittest in its rawest form. This anarchy is what many of the preppers are preparing for, not the Book of Revelation. They just see lawlessness hitting the streets. Without a police force, anarchy would reign.
It was God who told mankind to defend the helpless, the weak, the sick, the down-and-out and the oppressed. He did not mention cutting anyone's head off.
Yet, the United States and much of the rest of the world does business-as-usual with oppressor countries.
"How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked? Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed." Psalm 82:2-3 NIV
A few years ago, when the Syrian Civil War was new, I wrote an article about the conflict and why the United States was not helping? All over the world there was hand-wringing over the senseless deaths of innocent Syrians, caught in a war that most did not want. At the time of the article there were 5,000 deaths. A United Nations and Arab League Envoy estimated this past April that more than 400,000 have now died.
Somebody should have taken care of business when the Syrians were pleading for help, expecting the United States to arrive any minute. After all, isn't that what the U.S. usually does? Come to the rescue?
Not only did the U.S. not come to the rescue of the now slaughtered Syrians, we are doing business with the oppressors.
It was the road to Damascus, after all, where Saul was blinded by the light; and by 722 AD there were 3.8 million Syrian Christians out of a population of 4 million. Fifty years later, Islamic terrorists of that day invaded the Holy Land, killing any who stood in their way. Abassid Caliph al-Mahdi forced the Syrian Christians to convert to Islam or be killed. When the Christians revolted in Homs (855 AD), it did not work out well. The leaders of the revolt were crucified.
The United States wasn't around in 855 AD to rescue anyone from oppression. But had we been around and operated as today's United States, the Christians would be up the creek without a paddle. We are no longer the world's policeman. As such, the world has none.
Five years ago when the civil war started in Syria, there remained 1.5 million Christians, down from 3.8 million, 1,300 years ago. The United States still does business with the oppressor.
According to a Breitbart report March 16, 2016:
"The Chaldean bishop of Aleppo, Antoine Audo, reported Wednesday that in only five years of conflict and persecution, the Christian population in Syria has been reduced by two thirds, from 1.5 million to only 500,000 today."
Possibly the worst massacre of Christians in Syrian history occurred in 2013, once again at the hands of Islamists; and no one came to the rescue. Evidence of thousands of mass graves with men, women, and children who had been tortured to death by fire or buried alive were discovered. This massacre reportedly occurred at the hands of the Syrian rebels that we support.
Sadad, Syria is located in the desert about halfway between Damascus and Homs and was home to many Syrian Christians. According to Archbishop Selwanos Boutros Alnemeh, Syriac Orthodox Metropolitan of Homs and Hama:
"What happened in Sadad is the most serious and biggest massacre of Christians in Syria in the past two years and a half... 45 innocent civilians were martyred for no reason, and among them several women and children, many thrown into mass graves. Other civilians were threatened and terrorized. 30 were wounded and 10 are still missing. For one week, 1,500 families were held as hostages and human shields. Among them children, the elderly, the young, men and women.... All the houses of Sadad were robbed and property looted. The churches are damaged and desecrated, deprived of old books and precious furniture... What happened in Sadad is the largest massacre of Christians in Syria and the second in the Middle East, after the one in the Church of Our Lady of Salvation in Iraq, in 2010."
Is the United States upholding "the cause of the poor and the oppressed" as Psalm 82 commands? What is the world going to do without a policeman to prevent worldwide anarchy? What countries are going to step up?
The Syrian Refugee Crisis could so easily have been avoided. Now hundreds of thousands are seeking relief from the oppression. Unfortunately, Islamists have infiltrated the crowds of refugees seeking shelter in Europe and the USA; but with no uniforms, how does one know the good guys from the bad?
What about defending the defenseless when the defenseless is a child in the mother's womb? We live in a country that performs more than 1.5 million abortions each year. One cannot be more defenseless than a child in the womb.
Are we naïve enough to believe that the largest Christian nation in the world, a nation founded on biblical principles, is pleasing to God?
He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free, the Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous. Psalm 146:7-8 NIV
Policemen and women around the world are under attack, our guardians; while college kids at elite universities seek safe spaces where they cannot be insulted or offended. If the police go on strike, there will be no safe space... anywhere.
The United States has a history of helping the oppressed and the helpless, rushing aid to Indonesian tsunami victims or earthquake victims in Haiti. This is what nations founded on the belief that God really does exist are supposed to do.
The Lord loves the righteous. I think we are in big trouble.
"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." Jesus

THIS IS THE JUDGEMENT, THAT THE LIGHT HAS COME INTO THE WORLD, BUT MEN LOVED THE DARKNESS RATHER THAN THE LIGHT, FOR THEIR DEEDS WERE AND ARE STILL EVIL!!
This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil
Thoughts on Today’s Verse
John is often called the apostle of love but He is also the gospel writer that focusses on judgement, for John knew that the salvation of mankind was initiated out of love for fallen sinners.. but also that judgement is the inevitable result of those who choose to reject His gracious offer of salvation by grace through faith in Christ’s sacrificial work at Calvary.
The Bible makes it abundantly clear that You are either: a) one who believes and is saved or b) one who does not believe and is condemned. The one who believes does not come into judgement but has passed out of death and into life. However the one who does not believe is condemned and will be judged. Salvation depends entirely upon ones relationship to Christ – either faith in Him or rejection of Him – and the Bible makes it clear that the outcome is non-negotiable.
The purpose and will of God is that everyone should be saved and God has done everything possible to bring all mankind into salvation. He did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world. Jesus was sent to the world, under the authority of the Father on a very specific and authoritative mission. He was not sent to judge the world but to bring everyone to salvation through faith in Him.
To be lost is rebellion against God because it is a condition that God does not want for anyone. God in His grace did everything to ensure that no one would end up in this condition. Sadly there are those that reject God’s free offer of salvation – which is accomplished by faith in Christ’s sacrificial death and glorious resurrection for the forgiveness of sins. It is a sin to be lost because it contradicts the will of God for all men
Some people accuse God by arguing that if Christ came into the world to save the world.. then why are some condemned? But the answer is simple. Just as same sun which gives light to the world.. casts a shadow.. so also the Son of God Who shines Light on trusting faith.. casts the shadow of judgement on rebellious unbelief. The results for those who believe is salvation and eternal life – but there is judgement and condemnation for those who do not believe. The Light of Life, in the Person of Jesus Christ came into the world to save mankind through faith – but on those who remain in unbelief .. the Light of Life, in the Person of Jesus Christ casts the shadow of condemnation under the cloud of judgement and the terror of eternal death.
The breadth of God’s love is universal in its reach.. and the purpose of God’s salvation is as broad as His love – which is to save mankind from condemnation.. for it is not God’s will that any should perish. But sadly there are those that do NOT believe in the love of God.. nor do they not obey the will of God, but live in rebellion against God – and as a consequence they sin against God’s will and purpose for their life.. and remain eternally lost and dead in their sins. To be lost is to trample underfoot every attempt of God to save mankind from sin, condemnation, judgement and death.
Christ’s death is God’s gift to save men from perishing – but if man perishes it is because he loves darkness rather than light – it is because He is evil and his deeds are evil. The one that perishes is in rebellion against the direct will and purpose of God – and the man who perish can never blame God, Who has done everything that is possible to save them. The man who is perishing brings the judgement of God and His condemnation upon themselves simply through unbelief –
The man who faces God’s righteous judgement has rejected the Love of God; the Grace of God; the Gift of God and the Light from God. He is in rebellion against the Will of God; the Intent of God; the Purpose of God and the very Life of God. The man who remains a condemned sinner has brought the Judgement of God, the Condemnation of God; the Wrath of God and the Punishment of God upon their own heads – for the Light of God in the Person of Jesus Christ the eternal Son of God came into the world to save fallen men from their sins – but men loved the darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds are evil.
