Similarities Between The Apostles Waiting For The Kingdom In Acts And Us Waiting For The Rapture Of The Church Now

by Geoffrey Grider

Even though the Kingdom Age and the Church Age dispensations differ greatly, they are many commonalities that will be a blessing to us if we are willing to study "like a workman" and apply what we find.

In the book of Acts, we see the apostles asking Jesus when He was going to being the kingdom in, and Jesus told them to "wait" for the "promise of the Father". The events that take place from Acts 1-7 show us how the apostles lived for the Lord and conducted themselves while they waited. Here in 2020, as the born again Church waits for Flight #777 of the Pretribulation Rapture, we are also told to be busy and to "occupy till He come" for us as promised.
"And, being assembled together with themcommanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power." Acts 1:4-7 (KJB)
On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we look at Peter and the apostles who lived in daily expectation of the Lord's Return to establish His Kingdom from the throne of David, and how they lived while they waited. Everything was going great until the events of Acts 7 caused the entire system to be placed on hold while the Church Age dispensation was created. Even thought the Kingdom Age and the Church Age dispensations differ greatly, they are many commonalities that will be a blessing to us if we are willing to study "like a workman" and apply what we find.

We live in a time where ancient prophecy is replacing the headlines, and the prophetical times which God said must come have arrived, of that there can be no doubt. Never has the study and application of God's word been of such paramount importance, and the bible believer must needs roll up their sleeves and become the scriptural workmen Paul commanded us to be in 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJB). We will endeavor to bring you God's revealed word, not adding or subtracting, but rightly dividing it and applying it to not only our dispensation, but to the one that will come after. This study will be a blessing to you, but it may mean life or death to those left behind. It's that important, so please invite your friends and family to listen.

Over my 29 years of being saved and studying bible prophecy, never before have I seen it leaping off the pages like it is right now, today, in our time. The whole world is under lockdown from a global pestitlience, imagine that, and yet it is all foretold in the scripture of truth.
