Trump TV Is Now Broadcasting Around The Clock As The President Transforms The People’s House Into His Personal Entertainment Franchise Built To Glorify Himself
The presidency of the United States is a constitutional office belonging to the American people, not an entertainment franchise belonging to its temporary occupant. Yet with the launch of “Trump TV” on YouTube, Donald Trump has once again blurred the line between serving as president and starring in a show about himself. Even the name tells you everything you need to know. It’s not called White House TV, not America TV, but Trump TV. A 24-hour parade of carefully selected speeches, announcements and presidential “greatest hits,” packaged like another season of The Apprentice.
This is not about defending CNN, MSNBC, Politico or the rest of the establishment media, but their corruption and dishonesty does not justify replacing independent scrutiny with government-produced adulation. When an administration restricts hostile reporters while building its own branded broadcasting operation, the result is not transparency—it is propaganda. Instead of calling it TRUMP TV, you would be just as accurate calling it The National Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda. Trump does not merely want to occupy the presidency; he wants the office, the building, the cameras and the entire machinery of government to revolve around the cult of his own personality.
