Hamas: Our War Is Not To Lift The Blockade But To Liberate Jerusalem, “The Army Of Muhammad Has Begun Its Return”

The city of Jerusalem is mentioned over 800 times in the Bible. As columnist Moshe Kohn notes, however, the Qur’an mentions Jerusalem as frequently as the Hindu Bhagavad-Gita, the Taoist Tao-Te Ching, the Buddhist Dhamapada and the Zoroastrian Zend Avesta combined. In other words, not even once. And if the Islamic world which claims to respect the prophets truly cared about anything the Prophet Zechariah himself had to say, they wouldn’t even be thinking about touching it …
Zechariah 12:2-3, “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah [and] against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”

Hamas Spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri, Al-Aqsa TV (Hamas-Gaza), 8/17/2014: “The time has come for us to say that our true war is not aimed at opening the border crossings. Our true war is aimed at the liberation of Jerusalem, Allah willing. Khaybar, Khaybar, oh Jews … The army of Muhammad has begun its return… The war will continue.” Listen to more crazy talk.
