I feel that the freight train of Bible prophecy is about to collide with current events in such a way that is going to knock this world for a loop, maybe two or three.
"For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land." Joel 3:1,2 (KJV)
The importance of Jerusalem to the nation of Israel in the end times cannot be overstated, for it is the fabric on which the bulk of Bible prophecy hangs. Read carefully the two verses from the book of Joel quoted above, and you will see some very important things related to the last days. The importance of Israel having a leader like Benjamin Netanyahu who, despite
whatever his faults may be, has devoted his entire public life to the preservation of an undivided Jerusalem for the Jewish people. Do you think that's a coincidence that he is the leader God has given the Jews leading up to May 14, 2018? Do you think that it's also a coincidence that as Netanyahu finally gets an American president who is staunchly on his side, and fighting for Jerusalem for the Jews, that both he and Trump's reigns are teetering on the brink of collapse?
Listen to what Newsweek has to say about Netanyahu, Trump and Jerusalem in the March 23rd issue: "When Benjamin Netanyahu visited Washington earlier this month, it should have been a political triumph, a moment of exultation. For most of his 12 years in power, the hawkish Israeli prime minister was forced to work with presidents who despised him, left-leaning Democrats who talked about settlements and Palestinian statehood. Now, he has Donald Trump. Their March 5 meeting at the White House was the first since the U.S. announced plans to relocate the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem this spring. Israeli politicians had long demanded the move; Netanyahu was the one to deliver it. Ever the flatterer, he compared Trump to Cyrus, the Persian ruler who freed his Jewish subjects 2,500 years ago and let them return to Jerusalem." source
Yitzhak Rabin wanted to divide the land of Israel and create a Palestinian state. God allowed him to be shot and killed by one of his own people on
November 4, 1995. Ariel Sharon wanted to divide the land to create a Palestinian state, and God allowed him to be
taken down by a stroke in 2006 and eventually die in a coma. So along comes Benjamin Netanyahu who insists on an undivided Jerusalem for Israel, and he becomes the second-longest serving leader they have had. But with
May 14th, 2018 now less than 8 weeks away, Netanyahu's world is crumbling and so is Trump's. The more I ponder on all this, the more I become convinced that the only reason God allowed Trump to win was to move that Embassy to Jerusalem to trigger events yet unknown but absolutely related to the end times.
I feel that the freight train of Bible prophecy is about to collide with current events in such a way that is going to knock this world for a loop, maybe two or three. The "those days" of Joel's prophecy are yet future, but their fulfillment is going to be sooner and not later. So with regard to Joel's prophecy of the time of Jacob's trouble, please note the following bullet points.
- ISRAEL TO BE SCATTERED ONE MORE TIME: Rising from the ashes of the Holocaust, the phrase 'Never Again' shows the determination of the Jewish people to never again allow themselves to be oppressed and driven out of their land. But as the prophet Joel points out, they will be driven out and persecuted as a nation one more time. After 70 AD, the Jews were scattered to the 'four corners' of the globe. In the time of Jacob's trouble they will be driven to the red rock city of Selah Petra. “And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.” Luke 21:20-23 (KJV)
- JERUSALEM TO BE DIVIDED: Joel tells us that the final days before the Second Coming at the Battle of Armageddon, Jerusalem has already been divided. Joel lists this as one the main things responsible for God convening all the nations of the world to face the King of Kings in the Valley of Megiddo. It is a theme repeated by nearly half a dozen of the Old Testament prophets. So ask yourself this, if God is willing to stage the entire Battle of Armageddon because Jerusalem was divided, how important is Jerusalem going to be on May 14, 2018? "Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy." Zephaniah 3:8 (KJV)
I don't know if Benjamin Netanyahu is guilty, innocent, partly guilty, or any combination thereof and frankly, I don't care
If it all ends today, Benjamin Netanyahu has had a storybook career as leader of the world's only holy land. Like President Trump in America, he has survived all challenges and beaten all the odds time and time again. When Netanyahu won again in 2015, it was referred to by many in Israel as an '
open miracle'. I believe that God has allowed both Netanyahu and Trump to lead their respective countries exactly for "such a time as this", and to set events in place that will trigger the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.
“For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.” Jeremiah 29:10 (KJV)
I believe that sometime in the month of May, both these long-simmering events and recent developments are
going to come to a boil, and that the God of Abraham is going to insert Himself yet again into the greatest story ever told. The story of the coming King, and the Kingdom prepared for Him from before the foundations of the world.
